Very useful accessory
I paired this with a Pangea power cable and I have a quality power extension for my audio setup. It's sturdy and well built; very useful if you use it to add 1 or 2 remote power outlets to an existing installation

This does the job.
In certain rigs this is the most flush solution for providing power strip power. It's well made. Certianly fits my needs quite well.

Does nothing bad! And that's good!
I like this product. Does not seem to impose much on power transfer.Update:I changed my mind and deducted two stars. I made some changes and am now not as impressed with this product. Plugs don't fit tight enough. Sonics became much better when powering the amp through a Titan Eros high current cable directly to an AQ Edison outlet. Admittedly the expense is much greater. I still like some Audioquest products.

Great for musicians with smaller pedalboards, too.
This product should be cross-catagory marketed to musicians with pedalboards. I have a Pedaltrain Metro24 (ie. a small, flat pedalboard) with only a few effects that require power. Putting a Voodoo labs power supply on a 24"x8" board for 3 or 4 effects is is overkill and takes up too much deck space. I put high-quality effect pedal velcro on the bottom of one of these Power Strip Plugs on the edge of the pedalboard and, voila, I now have a compact power source on the board with a removable, standard IEC AC cable! Very convenient and clean. Just for clarification, I am a frequently gigging musician and this passes my 'professional quality' build standard to assure I have no stage failures during a show. It's been in place a few months and works great with zero 'loose cable' failures. (I do have an extra for backup in my gig bag, just in case, though!)For what it does, it is most definitely way too expensive. (which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars). But there were no other alternatives for my specific application that I could find on Amazon or the web, in general. It is rather well made, however, so I don't think I will have to replace for at least a while, which sort of makes it a little easier to take the price. If you have a pedalboard that you currently strap a large power strip to, this may be a better, more compact, more reliable, and maybe safer alternative ... plus you can use any length IEC cable you need.

What a great idea
I was in a pinch and all I had was the female end of the power cord, the other end was plugged into the outlet in a built in cabinet that we couldn't reach, and this made it so that I could have the extra outlets I needed and still use the only cord that was available.

It's great for a pedal board!
This is compact and fits perfectly under the cavity where I have the all of the patch cable wiring and power supply for my pedal board (Friedman). A reviewer below commented: "This unit is out of polarity when hooked up to a circuit tester." Because of the comment, I was concerned. So I tested the one I received, to double check, and the unit has the proper polarity. If you are concerned prior to purchase, then I recommend the Fluke 1AC-A1-II VoltAlert and google "How-To test for proper outlet polarity - YouTube" and it provides exact instructions on what to do to verify the polarity.

Works great with C13 cables, especially Audioquest
It'll work great with any standard power supply cable with a C13 termination. I have two of them with Audioquest NRG-Y3 cables going into my AQ Niagara 3000 and they both power any wall-wart types, such as powering my Sutherland phono-preamp, Rega P6 power, ect.
