If you want a dial test indicator that is accurate down to .0005” and utilizes a NOGA style holder at an incredible value, then you’ve found just the ticket. I like the design, the way the needle is, definately a good thing to have when going to buy/inspect a bridgeport or any industrial tooling. Reads about right on my China-made stuff, slop like a metal beaver been down there, and my german-made stuff.....is this thing on? So, its not just throwing noise. The ONLY thing I didn't like about it was the magnet-clamp.....weak. I get it, its not gonna be pressed on, but I wanna mount it upside down and diagnal sideways maybe ya know? I'd had rather them just stick with a strong neodynium. Regardless, its functionality will save you from buying junk, and when the dude see's you have a mountable guage, they are gonna get a little more truthful about how much that bridgeport is worth. Runout on a 4' table can vary a LOT. True it up? Take 2 grand off! Didn't come here to buy YOUR PROBLEM. Its a great negotiation tool. Whod have thunk it?

Magnetic base on/off allows for mounting in difficult positions and measures accurately. The locking knob works well. A must have tool for a metal lathe setup.

Great size for working ballscrew/ bearing boxes. All my other stands are larger and clumsy

Worked like a champ. Magnet was strong enough. Fit where I needed it. Repeatable results even after resets and changes. I was super happy with it.

This Test Indicator is a great buy. I've spent a lot more, hundreds for brand name indicators and this one performed just as well as those. The magnetic strength wasn't as strong as I expected. But after I thought about it is a bit small. I found a polished 3" round of steel that works perfect. I recommend anyone who needs a Test Indicator with Mag Base to pickup on this great deal. Good dial indicator for the price. Only complaint is that the knob for tightening the split sleeve did break. Fortunately it's a Philips head screw underneath and works fine. As far as I can tell it's movement is accurate. I use it to dial in tools on a CNC and .0001" does pick up on the dial.

Very accurate tool. I use mine alot. Take good care of it and you'll get many years use from it. Dial in your work on your mill or lathe.
