She's a Beauty! This is a Diamond with a Few Flaws (listed below). A Good Setup is Required.
When I bought this guitar over two months ago, it had 3 issues coming out of the box. The tone control wasn't wired correctly and acted as a volume. The truss rod cover screw wasn't centered, so the ugly hole for truss rod access ( and I mean looks like an angry teenager hacked through the finish with a chisel) was peaking around the cover just a touch. The nut slots were just about the perfect height, but the nut isn't as wide as the slot for the nut in the headstock, and the nut is too tall, so the strings are deep in the nut.None of the flaws were egregious if you're willing to leave the tone on 10. I hadn't seen any other complaints about the tone being mis-wired, so I guess I'm just lucky. Out of the box, I lowered the action and intonated , and bam, it's my go to guitar that sits next to my chair, but if you're not comfortable with setting up a guitar, then pay a good technician to do it. I know that seems counter intuitive. Pay 50-100 dollars to set up a 200 dollar guitar, but trust me here. The results are spectacular. That being said, if you're unwilling to do a setup or have one done, keep looking. I'd recommend going to a shop where they make sure the floor models are playable.First, let me say, that it's a gorgeous guitar. The flame maple cap ( Yes CAP, not veneer. 3/4 inches in the middle down to 1/4" on the edges.) looks amazing. They left the maple on the edge natural and it mimics binding around the body. This is a beautiful effect, and shows off the maple cap nicely. My guitar has fewer finish flaws than the one pictured on the Amazon ad. There's a slight drip on the underside of the headstock below the low E tuner. You can't see it, but you can feel it.The neck through design is just amazing. I've seen one claim that it's a fake neck through, but that's just not the case. The paint on the back is a translucent tobacco brown, and you can follow the 7 piece walnut and maple lamination all the way through the body. I've had the control cavities open and it's definitely as advertised. The neck on this guitar was nearly perfect. I can find a few small (tiny) gaps in the inlays. Nothing that triggered my OCD. The work feels smooth and the neck is comfortable. The logo on my version is a abalone looking material. It's much prettier than the white logo that I've seen in some pictures here. This leads me to believe that tweaks are happening as the runs are being put out. The fretwork on the ends is smooth, and I had 2 that I filed up a bit. They weren't very bad at all, but they stood out to me against the sweetness that were the rest. It took about five seconds with the equivalent of a nail file to make them match. There was a bit of scratchiness when bending at first, and I was all ready to polish them up, but after 2 months of play, I can't feel any of that anymore. The fretboard did require some lemon oil. It came thirsty, but darkened up beautifully with just a little care. The point where the neck meets the body is as comfortable a transition as I've ever had on a guitar. The pickups are good. I find them clear and responsive. There's no reason for me to change them out. I'd only swap them if you were looking for something specific. The switch is crisp and working great so far. The pots were the typical dime size pots, but I didn't have any issues with the quality before I swapped them out. The Wilkinson bridge is a good quality tremolo with a nice large block. I haven't had any issues with the pickup rings mentioned by others in some reviews.I've seen this in reviews, so I thought I'd mention that there is the odd bit of polish residing in cavities and cracks, but that's easy enough to wipe off.The only thing this guitar NEEDED was a setup, and a resolder on the tone knob. I have made a few changes, because that's what I do, and I still haven't hit 300 dollars U.S. for what's now a nearly perfect instrument. I did buy it on sale for $205 originally. My upgrades so far are:1. PRS amber knobs, (because they're pretty), which required imperial measurement pots, so CTS full size pots, which means I've wired the tone knob correctly now. The chrome nobs were fine, although, to keep them from dragging the body and leaving a scratch, I would put a tiny piece of paper down the shaft hole to raise it off the body slightly.2. Filling and redrilling the truss rod cover, and replacing the screw with a smaller black one. Sounds harder than it was. A toothpick and some wood glue then drill a new pilot hole. I added gaff tape to the back of the cover, because when I went to the smaller screw, the truss rod cover would rattle as that style tends to do when the truss cover is plastic.3. Grover 205C tuners, because although the tuners are serviceable, but the difference was well worth it. They're a direct drop in.4. Black Tusq nut. I actually haven't put the new nut on yet, but that's the next step. Obviously, it's not pressing, they put a quality bone nut on the guitar, and I toyed with the idea of reshaping it a bit, but it's just something I usually do to all my guitars.I don't do many reviews, but this product seemed well worth the effort to jot down a few thoughts.

Amazing value.
This is SUCH an amazing guitar (and deal). Not that it was perfect when it arrived. It had some setup and minor repair needed when it arrived. So, why is it such an amazing deal? And why do I rate it as a 5 star if it was imperfect to begin with?Because, with a setup and minor repair, I have a beautiful, amazing guitar that rivals my expensive guitars, for less than $300.When it arrived, the cosmetics are beautiful, and I really can't find any flaws. It's just striking in its beauty and design. There was quite a bit of fret buzz. Also, the tone pot only worked sporadically. (And the tone often sounded horrible--terribly muddy. I suspected that was attributable to the pot problems.)The fret buzz was in large part due to a tall nut. Shaving that down and minor truss rod adjustment took care of that. Also, the trem set screws were left loose at the factory. The tone and pot issues were a bad solder, so a quick solder took care of the issues. So, should these things have been taken care of as part of quality control? Absolutely! But at the end of the day, I paid ~ $170 on a daily deal. I paid a local guy to go through it with a fine tooth comb. I got back an absolutely beautiful guitar that plays as well as anything I've picked up.All for ~ $260.00.Quality Control aside, that's worth 5 stars as far as I'm concerned.Other notes:The body is heavier than I expected. The flaming in the body is striking and gorgeous.Fit, finish and cosmetic: excellent and beautiful. Even the tree of life inlays are gorgeous. (It is so beautiful, I refused to send it back for exchange just because I was afraid I would not get as good in return. I would rather pay someone to fix minor problems than to chance losing this beauty.)Tone is great, clean and dirty. I love the pickups, actually. If you're willing to chance the quality control and show patience in arriving at the "final product", buy it. The short term will be worth the long term.

Great looking axe
I have a couple GUITARS from IYV. I am extremely happy with them overall they look fabulous. They sound decent and they are entry-level price however they do have some quality control issues. I ordered two of these and both had some problems One the spring was not hooked up and lying in the cutout for the bridge. There was a random screw in there as well, and the back cover was warped severely and the pickup guards were bowed. This is not a huge deal because it is easily correctable. However it is disappointing that they do not have better QC. I still give the Guitar four stars because of its looks, its value and as many others have mention, with a little elbow grease it’s an outstanding instrument.
