Will it work on induction cooktops?

Stainless, cast iron and enameled cookware generally ok. Some cladded pans as well. Goodwill got all my old aluminium.
Be cautious of sizes of the bottom of the pan. My LG induction top has three sizes and too big or too small just will not turn burner on. Perhaps as it should be, I guess.
But check your cooktop's manual for any word on pan sizes.

Question 2

Have any of you considered the multi-ply set from Cooks Standard and Tramontina? If so, what made you choose Cuisinart? I'm having trouble deciding!

I purchase Tramontina many years ago because I thought it was a set that I could grow with. Bought an induction and found that only some of the pieces work, not all are magnetic.   I know that 2 of the frying pans came with the set - one works and one doesn't. Two other pieces that may have been add ons after the original set was my stock pot and 12" pan with lid I use for pot roasts. Those don't work either.  They don't stand by their product. They will do nothing, no replacement, no offer of discount to replace the pan.  I should have figured, because when I first purchased the set they didn't help with the discoloration problem either, said it was normal.  I just purchased the induction ready Cuisinart professional set, after trying an open stock piece on my Bosch.  It worked great, and had more even heating IMO than the Tramontina. Between that and the lack of customer service I will no longer recommend Tramontina.

Question 3

Why are mine yes-stick and black after the first use? I have been boiling them with dish washer to see if i can remove the stains with no luck at all

Accepted Answer

The blackness is charred glazing from whatever your cooking.  To prevent or minimize, heat the pan slowly with low heat and a little oil.  For cleaning, Bar Keepers Friend is great.  Other things you might have on hand are cream of tartar, and or vinegar.  My personal favorite is using wine while the pan is still hot. Wine is an excellent deglazing tool, and depending on what you’re cooking can add flavor, if done while the food is still in the pan. Happy cooking!

can I stack the pots?

They are very hard to stack because of their lids. The lids do fit nice and tight on each pan BUT when you flip it upside down to have the handle out of the way, for a nice flat surface to stack, the lid slides off causing a tumble. We stack the pots and pans only (no lids) and place the lids on the side. It's not space friendly but they didn't compromise on these for storing ease..... Wish we could of had both
