Bible of Fighter Aircraft
Aside from 'Jane's All the World's Aircraft' and its variants, this is an extraordinarily comprehensive encyclopedia of fighter aircraft. What a treasure-trove of info, much (most, actually) of which I'd never encountered before. If you're into military aircraft, this is a must-have.

I bought this book because I am an aviator at heart and like to read books about aircraft and ships, weapons in particular of WWII period. This book came as described by seller. Despite that a comment by another person who wrote a review about this book describes the product as 2 separate books. The book has most of the fighter aircraft that has flown or built.

it's a near-complete encyclopedia of ALL the fighters of ALL the countries of the world
About 30 years ago there was a monthly publication in an English magazine (RAF....) of the same topic. I'm not sure, but it seemed more complete to me. I don't think ALL Soviet prototypes from 1939 to 1970 have been fully covered.

This is such an awesome book! My 13 yr
This is such an awesome book! My 13 yr. old son is an aspiring mechanical engineer and is very inerested in fighter planes and weapons systems. This has been a fabulous book for him. He can't put it down. It is much more comprehensive than I imagined. Jam packed with info and pictures.

a huge undertaking
This publication is reminiscent of the authors earlier articles published in Air International magazine under the title Fighter A-Z which took years and many issues to complete...This work is now complete in one book with updates and added information......Rudolph Zacconi

Exceptional book.
Purchased this book as a gift for my roommate. He is 21 years retired Air Force. This book will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about military planes, including pics and plans. He loves it. Much like an encyclopedia of aircraft only better. Well worth the money.

Good Airplane info book
Husband says this is a great airplane book for pictures with descriptions he really likes it.

Was not honest about gently used the book condition was awful
The book is very detailed and the pictures are excellent, but I'm am super disappointed in the shape of this book. It was bought for my very special grandfather for his 90th birthday and the condition of this book was more then gently used, water stains, wrinkled pages and a torn sleeve cover. Talk about embarrassing. No I will not order from this company again
