In the Dolomites there are so many classics among climbing routes that you don't have to imagine them: Three Peaks, Marmolada, Cinque Torri... you don't have to say more! Our Wildfire 2 Gore-Tex® shoe is a form-fitting, technical approach shoe for women with a grippy POMOCA outsole for climbing performance and fast approaches, as well as for technical and easy alpine climbing. The upper is made of recycled, breathable mesh with an elastic insert on the tongue and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane that always protects you reliably from the weather. A mesh of Kevlar wires that comfortably wraps your foot provides an improved, precise fit and provides flexibility and firm ankle and heel support. In addition, the Wildfire 2 is equipped with our unique Switchfit setting, which allows you to easily switch from hiking to climbing mode, as well as with the Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) for an individually adjustable footbed to suit your needs. The Pomoca Speed MTN outsole has a climbing zone in the toe area and thus ensures good elidation on small rocky protrusions. It is also equipped with S-Path technology for natural rolling. The POMOCA rubber provides a good grip on the rock in both dry and wet conditions, while the strong, pronounced tread studs provide plenty of traction even on mud and softer terrain. A powerful and adaptable shoe for climbing and technical climbing.

Very comfortable
I use these pretty much everyday. They are very comfortable. I use them on pretty rough terrain walking and running. My only complaint is that the toe box started getting a small tear on the side, same spot on both shoes. It doesn’t seem to cause any issues with the strength of the shoes but it definitely seems to have lost some water resistance.

This new pair is missing tongue pads so stitching iritates top of foot
Some of my Salewa Wildfire shoes are getting old and need replacement. I discovered all my Salewa shoes have an extra lining on the underside of tongue except for the new pair so tongues easily buckle, and, the stitching where the tongue is attached to the shoe irritates/hurts the top of my feet.
