It is offset like this.. ,o' with the o being the valve **Q: what kind of material is it made of** A: Stamped tin with chrome finish. There are alot of universal replacements but the Moen is the best as it original piece. Other intimidators are plastic & many times they are constructed incorrectly so you don't have hot water stops. **Q: does the T470 come with cartridge and and stop tube** A: Mine did not have the stop tube, but I was able to order it independently. Not sure what a cartridge is in this application... **Q: Does the trim piece have a gasket on the back or do you need to caulk it?** A: Even with the "gasket" provided, you'd still want to caulk around the edge.... I used a thin bead of clear 100% silicone. ## Frequently Bought Together - Moen T470 Chateau Shower Trim Only, Chrome - Moen 1225 Single Handle Faucet Replacement Cartridge, Brass Stem - Moen Chrome Replacement Tub Spout with Lift-Rod Diverter, 1/2-Inch Slip-fit CC Connection, 3801 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/7356588-t470-chateau-shower-trim-only-chrome](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/7356588-t470-chateau-shower-trim-only-chrome) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
