My husband had a broken toe. I asked him why he was limping, and he said they don't make a toe splint, so I am living with it. I went straight to Amazon. I had to do a little searching as I wasn't sure what these would be called. I found it. My husband said they are great., comfortable and it worked. He can't wear it in a shoe, but he can wear it around the house and they most definitely work. He stated that they are easy to put on and his toe stopped bothering him with it. The Velcro holds the toes in place. He says they are well made. enough so that they will last a long time. This item is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Well made product and easy to use. Does not work with any shoes unless its open like a flop flop or sandle which is completely counterproductive when it comes to protecting an injury specifically in the winter!!! Also not helpful for bone bruises. It causes more pain than it does help support. Good for broken bones or trying to fix bunions perhaps.

This splint did not keep my broken toe from bending as much as I expected. While the material is somewhat firm, it isn’t rigid enough to provide the level of support I needed during the day. I’ve ended up using it mainly as a nighttime protector while sleeping, but I don’t feel confident wearing it when I’m up and moving. One day, I gently stepped down—putting very little weight on my foot—and felt a sharp pain because the splint flexed. It may work for light protection, but if you need strong stabilization to prevent movement, this product may not provide enough support.

Seriously the ONLY thing that has worked for me woth a broken big toe and resultant strained ligaments. The steel portion on the bottom keeps your toe from bending down, and that is what I need. I wear it around the house and to bed, and I am buying two more right now. I have NO IDEA why it only got a 4.0. I'd give it a 10 if I could. For reference, I wear a woman's size 7 shoe and it fits great!

I have hallux rigidus in both left and right big toes and I walk five miles per day. My Podiatrist recommends toe joint fusion surgery but I can't deal with the 6-8 weeks of no driving, so I'm living with the condition for now. I've tried several big toe splints; some work and some do not. This product does seem to work pretty well with a couple of caveats. Here goes: Pros: well made device; has strong steel splint strips rather than the aluminum strips that other devices use; the aluminum ones bend and break quickly. Velcro straps are strong and long enough to wrap around my big feet (others require the addition of self-bonding bandage strips to attach due to their short straps). Cons: BIG and bulky; requires BIG footwear in order to use comfortably. Recommend wearing hiking sandals with the device for walking comfort. The thickness of the device makes it feel like there is a pebble under my instep when I first start walking; however, my body adjusts to this after a bit and it feels comfortable for the rest of the walk. Overall, a pretty good product - not perfect, but aside from actual surgical repair, what is??

The side steel plate keeps popping out and trying to cut into my foot after walking a little bit. It came out three times in one day and every step hurt while at work. This is more suitable for just at home with little to no movement. However, you might be able tk just remove the one plate that pops out and be able to walk around worry free. I'll have to try it out.

I didn't like the product..it was very loose when walking. But it fit well with no movement

Sturdy, strong Velcro, quality is excellent. It works! Comfortable and easy to use.

Bought for husbands broken big toe. It has been very helpful for support. Is comfy fit. He has no problems with it staying on in bed at night as it comes with an additional heal strap for night time use. Very good. It also comes with an additional 12 month warranty from the manufacturer.
