I bought a pretty, glass bead necklace for £1 at a carboot sale and wore it on Sunday. Within an hour the twine had broken and I nearly lost the beads. I have another necklace that did the same thing, so I thought i would get some fishing tackle to use instead of cotton twine as it is stronger. I was able to mend the glass bead necklace I got for £1, and a pearl, onyx and gold bead necklace my late dad bought for my late mum, which broke and needed mending for the second time [ the jewellers mended it and it broke again within 6 months]. I would say it was good value as it saved me a trip to the jewellers.
