Every beginning horn player needs a kit with all of the items needed for your "musical friend". Experienced horn players should carry a small kit that has all of the items they might need when they are playing away from home. This one is so small, it can be placed in the closed horn case. This particular kit has a short piece of valve string, which will come in handy some day when a string breaks at an inopportune moment. (Yes, speaking from years of experience, it will, when you least expect it!) The other items are all useful. I wish that the quantity of each item was a bit more for the price, but the kit's completeness and convenient small size makes up for that. This is a great pack for my son to start cleaning his french horn. It makes it nice that there is a pouch to carry everything. My son was very excited to start cleaning!

Just needed string and grease, but got this whole kit instead for a bargain with a bunch of helpful extras. Good kit. Essential for getting set up initially, and necessary for regular maintenance. Even has educational notes. I like the oil bottle with a needle. Easy for pinpoint application and not sloppy like my other bottle. Big quantities of oil and grease. Quality containers. It's just a good deal. Only complaint is the steel cabled bore snake. Not a fan of putting steel in contact with my brass. However, it's rarely if ever required so that's of little consequence.

Great starter kit for french horn students. Comes with all the stuff they will need to care for their french horn and then some. The kit came in on time and was packaged well. The only CAUTION I have is for parents & kids to remember the plastic or vinyl pouch it comes in is the actual bag one keeps all the stuff in! The company staples the cardboard top on to the bag so BE CAREFUL when opening and "DO NO RIP or CUT the package because you will ruin the pouch that stores all the horn supplies. Carefully remove the staples so the pouch is still usable. Other than that, this kit is an excellent value for the cost!!

The best ever! (..a veterinarian and an amateur horn player here and for my 40y playing, since the high school, I changed a dozens of horns, all being leaky. This is the first time I completely solved leak problem..) Monster came as a "kinder garden crayon package" and I I was instantly happy, (an interesting effect), then I applied slide grease and a valve oil and played for a while... product is, hands down... Fantastic!!!!

Love my cleaning kit. It makes taking care of my instrument so fun!
