(Sort of) The Cat's Meow
I had a hiking stick hidden to use on getting down and back-up an extension of a local mountain trail. Someone stole it. I looked for another. Found one. It cracked and broke on me. So, I needed something that I could carry with me. This fills the bill very well. It is well-made, and sturdy. And heavy. Over 3 pounds. I'm only gonna be using it on hills, so to carry it for a flat trail, you better build up those arms. It is do-able though. Will also come in handy to keep away dogs and other animals if necessary. The compass is accurate. It comes will a rubber tip to put on the bottom. The accessories that come with it, specifically the harpoon and knives aren't sturdy enough to be practical because of the short tangs. But overall, this is a very nice item.

Its versatile
This is a really cool walking stick. Sturdy, assembles quickly, then there is the multi function, each item fastens securely you can use and man or as few link tubes as you'd like.

Design improvements needed
Good sturdy walking stick however I feel tools would be more useful if they were made to point downward

Wonderful Hiking Staff
I purchased this tactical staff because it was on sale, and I have recently become fond of hiking trails. It is perfect, and it makes me feel safe on some of trails that I traverse. The grip can be difficult if your palms are sweaty, but it's not too bad. The stick is a bit heavy, but that it to be expected considering the number of accessories that it comes with. It can be adjusted to fit your height perfectly. I also have a bad knee, so the stick helps to ease the pressure on my knee when I walk. I am not much of a survivalist, but I feel that I'd win a battle against a wild animal with this stick. I would definitely recommend it for purchase while it's on sale.

Great tool for walkers or hikers
Just received and very impressed. High quality materials and all pieces are perfect in craftsmanship-sharp knives, etc. Only “complaint” is that screwdriver head doesn’t lock into place as well as all the other heads. It has not been used in the field yet but expect it to be fun.

I do love this walking stick.
A little background - I have spinal stenosis, two crushed discs and two herniated disks along with a partially torn left Achilles tendon and no cartilage in my right ankle. Walking is a bit problematic form time to time to say the least. This walking stick is a bit heavy, but that is to be expected regardless of what type of metal is used. It will never be as light as a traditional wooden walking stick. It is a couple of pounds heavier. But a lot of that weight is the added tools such as the harpoon, spear, flint, knife, etc. Those could be removed as well as extra sections to adjust for your height as well as weight. It does take some time to unscrew sections and locate tools. If you can memorize where each tool is, you are good to go. My memory is not that great, so it takes me 2-3 attempts to locate the right tool. I tend to rely on my Leatherman more due to this. It definitely is not easy to access tools to use in an emergency situation unless a sturdy stick is sufficient to fend off whatever might be attacking. Since it is metal, it is quite durable and will do the job. My favorite is the design of the sections. Each section is identical so you can extend the length if needed, shorten it, move tools to other locations, or remove tools altogether. I had purchased the t-bar for it, but find that it is more adaptable to use it as a simple staff. Then I can continue to use the compass which is the most commonly used tool for me. Do not expect to make it through airport security with this tool. It will be confiscated - possibly even without any of the bladed attachments since it is a long metal rod. It is not classified as a medical device as other canes would be. You should be able to put it disassembled in checked baggage, but not carry it onto a plane. This is more of a personal assessment, but I did find using the textured exterior as the only grip to be a bit harsh on the hands after extended use. I also did not trust the durability of the leather strap handle that came affixed to it. Instead, I went crazy with paracord and replaced the strap and wrapped the paracord in a four lead, seven bight Turkish knot configuration to cover the grip area of the upper section. This adds the paracord as an extra tool to your arsenal and is highly recommended. If you prefer to not learn how to tie creative paracord knots, you could also store a section in one of the segments along with some waterproof matches, fishing hooks, or other gear. There is plenty of room inside the chambers to store things. I use one section for medications so that I have a couple day's does in case i get stranded somewhere.

Ok, if you are looking for something STURDY for whatever reason, this is it! I have mine for mobility challenges reasons. Nice to know the tools are there but I needed something sturdy….this is it. It weighs 3.74 pounds so it feels heavier than a cedar stick I have been using; however, the weight will only be noticeable for a week. I just put it together and OMG, I am truly impressed. It feels good on the hand. Handles beautifully. Those too,s are amazing. Extra space for storage. Highly recommended.
