Great kit for upgrading iMac 27"
The kit worked perfectly, and instructions really clear. There are only a small amount of these type of kits, so I had to buy one with a drive which I didn't use, as I was upgrading to something bigger.Really was easy to remove screen, add new tape etc..... and re-seal - the only thing that I found was that it doesn't make it clear that you can cover the microphone array that is behind the screen when placing the new seal on - so now I have to remove the screen again to sort thatThat has been the only issueI had read that for some they found their screens fell off after a couple of weeks. So I used some masking tape around the screen to help secure it in place for the first month, check the strength of the seal and haven't had any further concerns after.

Brilliant upgrade kit for my late 2015 iMac 27inch
My Fusion Drive failed on my iMac and looked around for repair via Apple, 3rd party shops etc. Then I googled diy replacements and realised it would be 1/5 of the price.I was a bit dubious making the replacement myself but the YouTube video was absolutely bang on. Follow it step by step; pausing when you need and be careful when separating the screen…It was so easy to do, took me about 2 hours including OS installation and now my iMac runs better than it did when I bought it 7 years ago.Honestly, for the money, give it a go.

Recommended - iMac Late 2012 27" now runs x10 faster
Followed the OWC videos on how to install the new drive. The key is to take care and have plenty of time. All went to plan. Reformatted the drive and then did an internet install of MacOS. My machine now runs very fast and quite.Shutdown and Boot times x10 faster and apps load like a new machine. (Before performance was v. slow and painful.)Hint: Run the machine flat for a while and test to allow the strips to adhere. I have also stuck strips at each side for 24hrs while the glue becomes fully bonded after reading how screens have dropped out. OWC say they have re-designed the strips so perhaps this is less of an issue.
