Night Driving Wear Over Glasses Yellow Lens Fit Over Glasses

I started looking for yellow-tinted glasses at my mother's recommendation, after crashing my car in a serious accident due to those ultra-bright headlights from hell that the car manufacturers keep using now with no regard whatsoever for driver safety. Do you think one single optometrist I've ever been to, all of whom I've complained to about the difficulties of night driving, could have mentioned yellow lenses? Of course not. They just want to sell you the Crizal coating, which - don't get me wrong - does make a bit of a difference, but nowhere nearly enough for someone like me with light-sensitive eyes. Fortunately my mom mentioned yellow tited glasses when I was describing the accident to her, and I found these. I am so happy! They make a world of difference, and I can actually still see the road now when someone with those ought-to-be-illegal headlights is coming towards me! Amazing. I will never be willing to drive at night without them again, so I plan to buy another pair ASAP in case anything happens to this pair.I ordered a size Medium since I have a small face, and it fits perfectly but is just a bit tight in the back. I plan to order a large pair as well, just in case I ever need to drive at night for an extended period of time. I feel like the smaller ones will give me a headache if I wear them more than an hour.The sad fact is that here in the US, there is no option for ordinary people who are not disabled or elderly to avoid driving at night, regardless of whether they feel safe doing it. It's something you have to do in order to have a functioning life, and these glasses make it much safer for me.

Got these for driving at night because I am sick and tired of the those bright retina burning headlights making me blind. Since there is no end of them on the roads, and because I am subjected to direct beams in my face from all non short vehicles 🙄, I wanted to do something to improve my safety while driving at night.I tested them tonight on a variety of roads and conditions. I definitely recommend them. I had glare from SO many headlights and wet roads just disappear as a problem. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel like I wanted to squeeze my eyes shut against the pain of those intolerably bright headlights.They took a bit of getting used to and they look a bit goofy but I don’t care. I came home after a 45 minute drive with no headache caused by oncoming traffic.I don’t actually recommend them on dimly lit city streets because pedestrians were more difficult to see. Other than that one drawback, I can’t say anything bad.As for me, I don’t care if I look like a dork as long as I can see safely. 😁P.S. I got the larger ones to allow anyone with me to use them and they were not too loose on me. I have a pair of sunglasses for over my regular glasses that I got in the right size, not from this site, and they tend to feel tight after awhile.

Love these, but living in midwest with extreme temps, the plastic frames cracks too easily. Wish the plastic frames were more durable in cold weather.

I was at my wits end and afraid I was going to have to give up driving at night at only 58 years old. I have a bad astigmatism and very sensitive light colored eyes.I was having trouble seeing my side of the road when there were oncoming headlights. I couldn’t see my upcoming turns because I was blinded by headlights.I ordered this product as a last ditch effort before I quit night driving.While, the glasses don’t cut down 100% of headlight brightness, they make it so much less painful when oncoming headlights are passing by AND I can still see my side of the road.As a bonus that I didn’t expect, the glasses make driving at dawn and dusk lighter and the roads more visible.I am so thankful I found this product and can continue driving at night.-Ronda

These glasses are fantastic. They make me feel so much more confident when I'm driving at night. They really do a great job of protecting your eyes from the glare of LED headlights without compromising your vision quality. I like them so much that I'm buying a pair for my dad and my brother for Christmas.

I have difficulty driving at night and with lots of research I had hoped these glasses would be the answer to evening driving issues. I was very excited to purchase this eyeswear and immensely wanted these to work. Even though they didn’t work from the start, I thought maybe my eyes had to adjust to the lenses. However after several weeks sadly nothing has changed. First impressions, the eyewear comes in a cloth material pouch which makes for extra care storing these plastic glasses which seems as if they could break easily. Secondly, upon wearing these glasses as some have stated previously, all these glasses seem to do are to turn everything s yellow color! Do they dim oncoming headlights? NEGATIVE! Headlights are just as bright whether low or high beam. Do they help with roads that are dimly lit? NEGATIVE! If wearing at night in the rain I had to take them off because my vision was hindered with these glasses. Lastly, did they help at all against daily sun glare...BIG NEGATIVE...in fact in some cases the glasses amplified the sun glare.I’m not one who revels in writing negative posts but felt it necessary to post my honest opinion.Bottom line these are just glasses that turn nighttime lights into bright YELLOW colors they Do NOT make everything clear or more defined on the roadway, in my opinion. The one plus is that they did fit well over my prescription glasses.Regrettably, these glasses are a BIG THUMBS DOWN! I hope I can get a refund.
