S.R. Smith 66-209-596S2 Frontier III Replacement Diving Board, 6-Feet, Radiant White

The board itself is fine - wellmade, sturdy, and a great value that I can certainly recommend. It even comes with the hardware installation kit.For us, it was well past time to replace our old diving board and this seemed like the perfect choice. Our only problem is that the old base requires spacers in order for the board to be level - the back of the base where the board would be attached is lower than the fulcrum towards the front. The old bolts were so rusted that we had to saw them off in order to remove the old board from the base, and the old spacers were completely and solidly rusted to those, so the old spacers are totally useless. The base itself is perfectly good and solid, and all we need to reinstall the new board are 2 one-inch spacers to replace the old ones.One of the reviewers from August 2021 described being in a similar situation; however, they stated that they called the manufacturer and were sent new stainless steel spacers at no charge. I called the company, emailed, sent photos, and called back, and after speaking with several sympathetic customer service reps was told that there was nothing they could do for me - they don't send out spacers. In fact, they don't even make them anymore.I scoured the internet looking for spacers but had no luck whatsoever. We have no intention of replacing the perfectly good base for WAY more money than we originally wanted to spend, especially when all we need is a couple of small pieces of what is basically stainless steel tubing. I'm sure we'll be able to figure out some kind of acceptable workaround. But I would warn anyone looking to replace a diving board on a pretty old base to be aware that they might need additional hardware that isn't necessarily included in the installation kit. What should be simple and easy may very well become complicated and difficult.UPDATE: Miracle of miracles! S.R. Smith ended up sending us the spacers we needed to install the board!As I stated earlier, the board itself is well-made, sturdy, and a perfect replacement for our old board, and an especially great buy, since the price is extremely reasonable and even includes the installation hardware. And now that we have the spacers (thank you, Sam Shirley!) we can go ahead and install it - a quick and easy job.I still warn people with old stands to be aware of the spacer problem, but I have amended the rating to 5 stars for 3 reasons: It's a great diving board; once you have all the parts you need, it's an easy install; and I can definitely state that this company - S.R. Smith - has proven that they are customer-oriented and go out of their way to insure that their customers get the best possible service. Three reasons for 5 stars!

Board fit the other manufacturer’s stand.

I have an older Inter-Fab LaMesa Base, which is the older version of the Flyte Base II. This board fits perfectly. Took only 20 minutes to take off the old board and replace it with this one. I was able to use my original hardware to fasten the board, but the included equipment looked the same as my original configuration wise.

Fairly straightforward change out for an older broken diving board. I did have to purchase additional bolts at the hardware store as the ones that shipped with the board were too short. This board is quite a bit stiffer so don't expect alot of spring. Should last a long time though.

Fit exactly on the stand and although not mentioned, the hardware came with it. A solid board and very nice looking.

Easy to install and grandkids love it. They do cost too much, but the cheap one on from a bother supplier was a scam that never came.

Came in several days before it was expected which is nice and it was in perfect condition.
