I have been seeing the videos and my curiosity kept growing, so I pulled the trigger. I am so completely satisfied with this product that I have since purchased another one. I will admit there’s a learning curve. You really have to be patient and wait for the fire to be just right, but to me that’s part of the experience. My favorite food to cook on this has been burgers. They’re so easy and deliciously crispy it’s unreal. My recipe is To get the Arteflame good and hot, throw a little bacon grease or butter down and then the ball of ground chuck goes down. The sizzle is so appetizing. Next I’ll grab my cast iron grill press and smash them for about 7-10 seconds of pressure then move around to the other ones and do the same. After the juices start to puddle up in the center (you’ll know when to flip them, just don’t flip them too early) gently scrape the burgers (yes, I said scrape) off of the Arteflame and flip. When you see that beautiful brown crispy burger you’ll know you did it right. Throw some cheese on there and then get ready to toast the buns. The burgers cook for 2 and a half to 3 minutes each side. That first bite is out of this world. If you like the taste of Steak ‘n Shake or Culver’s this is for you. My kids ask for them at least once a week. I have most definitely recommended this to all of my friends. Customer service is beyond top notch. I actually purchased the wrong size at first, and didn’t really realize it until after I had seasoned it. Be sure to email the company if you have a Vision Kamado. The grate size is not 18” for that grill like I thought, it’s actually 19.75 and yes they make it and will send it to you. When I put the 18” on my grill I kept loosing food off the outside. After contacting the company through Amazon the owner actually personally emailed me back and made it right, even though it was my fault. They made me a no brainer offer on the right size grate for my vision and it was here within a few days! Like I said, great product and even greater customer service makes this purchase easier to swallow. I will continue to cook on this Arteflame until it becomes time to buy a bigger one! The center removable grill does not line up properly in the center opening to lay level with the outside surface.
