I have tiny, misshapen ears. Every pair of headphones or buds I’ve ever used hurts my ears. Padded noise cancelling headphones, AirPods, skull candy, the earphones without the gummy tips, literally everything hurts and makes them ache sooo much I actually wince when I’m done using them. I took a chance on these because I’ve never tried this style. I liked that they didn’t sit deep in your ear with all the wax, and others reported / they’re designed for working out so they stay where they need to stay on your ears. Best chance I ever took. I can finally wear them for extended periods of time and tbh there is a pin point spot that aches just a little bit and only if I’ve worn them for over 1-2 hours. It also might be user error or my destiny with the tiny misshapen ears not really allowing anything to touch them without hurting. But it’s such a minimal ache that I dub these painless. It doesn’t even ache long whereas other buds leave a fierce ache for hours after I’ve removed them. So these are freaking incredible style wise. Audio was an adjustment. Going from gummy tips sitting deep in your ears - those felt louder compared to this which was basically the equivalent of playing music from your phone rather than a speaker (speaker being the gummy tips). They do def get loud but won’t compare sound level wise to something so snug inside your ear. I actually like that much more. I don’t worry about not being able to hear what’s going on around me or how loud I’m being when I wear them because of that. But they won’t drown out noise in the same way so if that’s a feature you like, be warned. They come with their own control app which lets you control eq like hi-fi, bass boosted, acoustic, treble boosted, etc. it’s not a massive difference imo but I do like that to enhance the sound quality I can turn on rock or bass boosted and the lines of audio I’m seeking are audible to me more than before. The audio quality itself isn’t anything special. It’s not tinny or low quality by any means but coming from noise cancellation air pods sitting in my ear canal to these sitting in the shell of my ear, it’s definitely different and less sound overall. Losing the noise cancellation means the stream of audio isn’t singled out so much. But personally, again, I really like these earbuds. The sound is what I need out of a pair and the fit, style, and lack of pain makes me HIGHLY recommend them. It also comes with stickers to put on the case and they’re waterproof. One other AWESOME thing is that if you’ve paired them with say your computer and your phone, it auto connects to whichever is playing audio first but if you’ve paired walk away from the computer and go to the bathroom, start using your phone and playing audio, they auto connect seamlessly and reconnect seamlessly to the computer when you go back to it. No disconnecting so you can reconnect. Just change which device is putting out audio and it automatically switches. They’re freaking incredible. I even got my mom to buy a pair because I like them so much and for a fraction of how much AirPods cost. My AirPods started this awful buzzing like zzzt in my ear, became tinny, and the gummies kept falling off. They don’t hold up well. You can’t accidentally wash them. I don’t know how well these will hold up long term but I’m very very very hopeful based off of an already incredible and exceptional user experience.

Ok this is the third time I've rewritten this review and I can't say I'm thrilled with this product but I'm not insanely disappointed either. They are comfortable and they stay in place. The sound quality isn't horrible for the price. My only gripes are 1) They don't sense when they are on or off the ear so the music doesn't pause on its own, 2) They do not work when submerged underwater, even when stated that they are IP67 Waterproof rated. This rating states "An IP67 rating means a device is both dust-tight and waterproof, specifically tested for submersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes." These immediately stop working when submerged even slightly. 3) They take a while to get settled into. It takes a couple minutes of maneuvering around to get them to clear, consistent sound quality. All of that said, I am keeping these. They make great by the pool or beach headphones. You can still be aware of your surroundings, they stay on during movement, and they can get wet (if it happens to start raining or you are sweaty). They are worth the cost but when I look for an upgrade, I'll be considering the JVC Nearphones for the extra $50.

🎉🎉🎉My New Daily Essentials: Why These Open-Ear Buds Never Leave My Ears! Confession: I used to think "open-ear" meant sacrificing sound quality for comfort. Boy, was I wrong! After weeks with the Baseus Bowie MC1 Pro, I’m officially converted—these aren’t just earbuds; they’re my daily joy-bringers. ❤🧡💛💚💙First, the magic fit: That 5g featherlight design? It’s witchcraft. I slipped them on and literally forgot they existed—no pressure, no "hot ear" feeling, just pure comfort. The memory titanium wire and CurveFit cushions hug my ears like they were custom-molded. I’ve worn them through marathon work calls, sweaty yoga sessions, and even napped with them on (oops!). They never slip, never ache. It’s like your ears are… breathing? Revolutionary. ❤🧡💛💚💙Then, the sound punched me in the heart: I braced for "tinny" audio. Instead, I got rich, layered sound that made me rediscover my playlist. The Tri-Magnet Driver and HiFi4 acoustic tech deliver vocals so clear I hear every whisper in ballads, while SuperBass 2.0 gives electronic beats actual weight without distortion. And LDAC support? It’s like upgrading from SD to 4K for your ears—every cymbal crash and string pluck feels alive. Walking through noisy streets, I still catch every note without cranking volume. Mind. Blown. Daily life-proof? Absolutely. • IP67 waterproofing saved them from my coffee spill AND a surprise downpour. Just wiped and played on. • 40-hour battery life is no joke. I charged the case last Sunday… it’s Friday. Still going. That 10-min quick charge = 2hrs playtime? My new morning ritual while brushing teeth! • Bluetooth 6.0 + Smart Connect means seamless jumps between my tablet (for podcasts) and phone (for calls)—no wrestling with settings. Little wins I adore: • Physical buttons are my savior! No more accidental pauses when adjusting my hair or hugging someone. • The Baseus App let me customize controls—I set left bud for volume, right for skipping tracks. Perfect. • Calls are crystal clear even on windy walks, thanks to those 4-mic AI noise cancellation. My boss thought I was in a quiet room! ❤🧡💛💚💙The real test? I stopped reaching for my "premium" wired headphones. That’s saying something. These live in my pocket, ready for any moment—work, workouts, or just wandering the city. They don’t isolate me from the world; they enhance it. ❤🧡💛💚💙Final thought: If you crave earbuds that disappear on your ears but deliver sound that demands attention, this is it. No compromises. Just pure, comfortable, stunning audio that keeps up with life—rain or shine. ❤🧡💛💚💙Why I’m obsessed: ✨ Forget-you’re-wearing comfort (5g + cloud cushions!) ✨ Hi-Res sound that gives goosebumps (LDAC + Tri-Magnet magic) ✨ Week-long battery (40hrs total!) ✨ Survives my chaos (IP67 + sweat-proof warrior) ✨ Just… works perfectly (Bluetooth 6.0 + genius app) Seriously—if open-ear buds felt "meh" before, let these change your mind. Best tech decision I’ve made all year!

Update: the customer service was great the company decided to replace the list headphones and noted my review. ___________________________________ Hey for the headphones it works really great as a product but a problem it does have is based on human error. You can put it down and lose it. The case is relatively small and especially for black I can see people losing it Left and right. The app doesn't help at finding it at all unless the headphones are out of the case it doesn't make a loud enough sound I wish it had an led around the headphone/ charging case. In addition the feature to make the case vibrate would help alot. That's why my rating is at a 3/5 for now.

After trying the Bose Ultra Opens, Cleer Arc 3's, Soundcore Aeroclips, Shokz Open Dots and the Baseus MC1s. I'll start with the XC1s and the MC1s both are the most comfortable buds out of the bunch, the MC1s do beat out the XC1s as they are a bit smaller and lighter, so much so I have forgotten they were in. But the added sound quality from the bigger XC1s is worth it and they are still very comfortable. The Bose are the next best for comfort and can be found refurbished for around 100, but the sound, mic volume/clarity needs work, these have nothing but the name of a premium brand. Still great buds and they have real buttons! The Aeroclips just hurt, don't care about anything else. The Cleer Arc 3s are great for people who don't wear glasses AMAZING sound quality, volume, and battery life. But they do not have real buttons, so you have to do the stupidest gesture imaginable to answer calls (nod your head right to left - decline, up/down - answer, and you have to really nod like your at a rock concert). The Shokz are decent, but the Baseus are better.
