Q: Does the unit have a built-in battery or must the power cord always be connected when in use?

The PerformanceBox does not have a built in battery and will need to be continuously plugged in using the power cable. There is an optional battery (part number RLACS072) that can be purchased if you'd like to use the PerformanceBox without being plugged in. Thanks, Chris from Racelogic

Q: Does it come with calibration certificate?

No, the PerformanceBox does not include a calibration certificate. Many VBOX Automotive products do, so please contact your local VBOX Distributor for more information. Thank you.

Q: Will i need another auxiliary device such as a gps booster or something of that sort to get this product to work perfectly as designed?

The PerformanceBox has a built in antenna and doesn't require any other components to function properly. You will want to mount the unit somewhere with a clear view of the sky, such as on the windshield, to get the best results.

Q: How long will it record? Can you use a larger SD card to record longer?

PerformanceBox log files are about 1 megabyte per hour of recording, so the standard 4GB card allows ~4,000 hours of recording! But if you want to go larger, these units accept up to a 32GB SDHC card.
