The Perixx Periboard-416 is a compact, lightweight keyboard with hub, for Windows and Android. The keyboard is approximately 28.5cm wide by 11.5cm deep. Underneath it has 5 ‘rubber’ feet to give it grip on the surface it is used on. It has an angled profile, rising away from the user, and the largest point from top of button to underside is about 1.5 cm high. Additionally, there are 2 flip-down risers underneath at the back to raise the angle even higher. Those risers also have 2 little ‘rubber’ feet to give grip. The keyboard is lightweight but does not feel low quality. The quality appears appropriate for the design and price. There is a usb-c connection/power, plus 2 usb-a ports and 2 usb-c ports. USB standard 2.0 is used. Therefore, these ports allow the keyboard to act as a hub for other devices, such as usb storage drives, to be plugged in and accessed. This is very convenient, particularly combined with the compact size. All ports work as expected. The keyboard comes with 2 cables to connect the keyboard to other devices by either their usb-a or usb-c ports. This is not a backlit keyboard. It does have 3 LEDs at the top right to indicate: Function Key on; Caps Lock on, and Scroll Lock on. AlphaNumeric keys are White print on a Black background. These keys are slightly concave. The Fn key and the Functions it enables are indicated in Blue print. Those Function keys plus Esc and Del, all in the top row, are convex. This convexity is the same as the last row, from Ctrl to the directional arrows. The typing experience, which is always a matter of personal preference, is good for a compact keyboard. The keys have good feel. Actuation Distance is claimed to be 1.2 +- 0.2mm. Total Travel Distance is claimed to be 1.6 +- 0.2mm. The keys are quiet in action, without clicking or looseness. No sticking has been detected. All keys work correctly. Durability is unknown at present but it seems like there would be an acceptable lifespan for the cost. The manual claims 3 million Key Presses. The Weight is claimed to be 332 +- 5g. The Perixx website states that the keyboard will work with Microsoft Windows but may have limited function with Android. Some Functions will only work with Windows but others work depending on Android version and device. The keyboard works perfectly for entering numbers and text in Android, such as word processors and spreadsheets from various office suites. Overall, this is a very good keyboard for a reasonable price. It does not make extravagant claims that it cannot meet. It fulfils all the functions that it claims and provides the convenience of a built-in hub. The included cables and the ability to work with both Windows and Android make it a useful device in a lightweight, portable form factor.

I have had good experience with Perixx products, this keyboard performed equally. The small size and light weight are ideal, especially on hospital bedside tables and tilting holders for tablets. However, the cables were missing from the box - I tore the box apart trying to find them. Luckily, I have my own cache of cables to replace them. A download PDF users manual would be more helpful than the tiny printed included paper one - I looked like Sherlock Holmes with my magnifying glass trying to read it.

I like the feel of this keyboard. Being used to Apple keyboards, I am used to keys with a small travel. It makes typing faster and causes less strain on the hands. This keyboard is similar to Apple's, but requires a tiny bit more pressure on the keys and gives more tactile feedback, so you feel that you have actually hit the key, not just slid over it. For me it produces more accurate typing. The keyboard is well-built, sturdy and reliable. One of the reasons I chose this keyboard was the built-in USB hub with both USB-A and USB-C ports. I imagined I could put some devices like mouse, camera, thumbdrives, etc. in it. Unfortunately the hub is not USB 3.x, but USB 2. It provides less power and dramatically slower speed then what you would expect from USB-C. Good for plugging in mice, but not much else. If it was actual USB 3 hub, I would appreciate the keyboard even more. All in all I'd say I would highly recommend this keyboard for its feel and build, but do not expect to use it as a USB-C hub.

i specifically ordered the wired hub version of this keyboard because of the smaller font, the win key and delete fully spelt out.... every picture of this version show it as such but what i received had the same bold text, a start key and just Del as if it was the non hub version. it is has the hub but i really didn't even need the hub, i only order the hub one because of the smaller font... probably not a big deal to most but annoying to me not actually getting what i had ordered. Also i knew it was gonna lag but it took 20 days to arrive so not really worth returning either and having to wait another 3 weeks to maybe get an item that will match its description.... Really a shame because overall not too bad a keyboard for the price. Its a bit flexy and the keys are a bit too clicky but the overall build seems nice enough and it seems to be as responsive as you'd expect a keyboard to be. And even with the annoyingly large font I might pickup the bluetooth version for another setup now knowing what I might or might not get just because it does tick every other box on my keyboard want list.
