SAMSUNG TV Mate HW-N300 Soundbar Black

The soundbar has a great sounds. The subwoofer offered the appropriate base. It was a gift for my husband for his mancave TV, he loves! The remote is a nice touch and convenient.

Awesome sound!

This was an easy fix to improve the TV volume. Noticed early-on that it was sometimes difficult to hear dialog, even at relatively extreme volume, with our new Samsung TV. The soundbar is easier to hear at volumes under 10 than the TV speakers were at 40+, probably because the speakers are direct-facing rather than facing away (my best guess). Very easy setup via bluetooth if you have a bluetooth capable TV. No need for a digital optical cable if this is the case.

Like most $1000 tvs, our new one sounded like is was all coming though a cardboard tube. The prospect of another device and remote of its own to resolve the poor sound was not enticing. This one says “works with your Samsung tv.” Great, let’s see if it’s that simple- and I’m willing to gamble with $100 on that. Turns out this is true- it just works with your Samsung tv. I used a digital optic cable, turned it all on, and magic- the tv remote controls the sound bar volume. Consequently, my Apple TV remote controls the volume- all by default, I didn’t need to touch any config. Bonus- it sounds really good. I can actually hear people talking. And for the price, with easy setup and food sound quality, that gets 5 stars.

Where's the sound, hardly functional, I turned it all the way to the highest capacity and still could hardly hear it. Returned for a full refund. Save your time and money. ***BUYER BEWARE***
