It's ok
Functions and apps are great and help a lot. The down side is battery life. If you u have a busy day with lots of messages, the battery doesn't last a day. I bought a cheap one from China previously and it would last 3 days before requiring charge.

Some features will only work with samsung phones
Amazing and has everything you need. Some functions (like blood pressure) will only work if you have samsung phone.

I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, and it has quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. The watch feels solid and well‑built, with a premium finish that looks good both during workouts and in more casual or professional settings. The display is bright and clear, making it easy to read notifications, health metrics, and apps at a glance. Performance has been smooth. I haven’t experienced any lag when switching between apps or tracking activities. The fitness and health tracking features are comprehensive and reliable, from heart rate monitoring to sleep tracking, and the automatic workout detection works well. Battery life is better than I expected. With typical use, I’m getting through most of the day comfortably and often into the next before needing a recharge. The interface is intuitive, and pairing with my Samsung phone was quick and seamless. Overall, the Galaxy Watch 8 delivers excellent performance, useful features, and comfortable all‑day wear. It’s a great option if you want a versatile smartwatch that handles both fitness tracking and everyday smart features with ease.

I use my Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 every single day, and it has been fantastic! I love using it to track my exercise—it keeps accurate records of my workouts, heart rate, and steps, which really helps me stay on top of my fitness goals. I also use it to text, and the text quality is surprisingly clear for a watch. The interface is intuitive, the battery lasts all day, and it’s comfortable enough to wear from morning workouts to evening activities. It’s a reliable, versatile smartwatch that has easily become an essential part of my daily routine. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fitness-friendly, fully functional smartwatch!

Pros. Easy fast setup. Readings seem fairly accurate. Big, easy to read screen. Lots of watch faces to choose from. Everything just works. Paired with S25Ultra. Battery life seems very good after a couple full days of use. Ai assistant is great. Cons. Not uncomfortable, but not as compassionate I'd hoped. Not a deal breaker. But will take some getting used to. The story. So I'll be 50 this summer and I work a labor intensive job 12-14 a day. Wanted a "fitness" watch so I could monitor my heart rate etc. Picked up a FitBit versa 4. It was very comfortable. Very comfortable. But the heart rate monitor was all over the place, registering a resting HR of 53, then suddenly 120, then 85. It was just sll over the place. Shame because it was unbelievably comfortable and had outstanding battery life. Returned it and after a lot of research, order the galaxy watch 8. Kinda wish I got the 40 instead of 44. It is a bit big, and I feel that. I'm sure I'll get used to it. No deal breakers here. Just gotta get used to it. Battery: I've read reviews stating the battery life isn't great. Not sure why they say that. I've used it a couple days now and I use about 20% battery in a day. I don't have always on display on, as I don't look at my wrist constantly. So it lighting up when I turn my wrist is just what I want. I have heart rate monitoring, steps being counted, i scroll over to check weather. Use the ai Gemini to set timers etc. Even when the watch did an update in the middle of a day, the watch only used 20% battery that day. So I'd say battery life is very good. I'm nor comparing to other watches as I haven't used one in years aside from the fitbit I returned for this. For the extra cost, and extra size... you do get great app integration with galaxy phone . Better than my experience with fitbit. Also readings seem more accurate all around. All around I'd say this is a great buy and a lot of value for the $. -note: I'm not knocking the fitbit versa 4. I believe I received a defective unit. But chose this for the health app integration with my phone and better native Samsung/android app integration and ai assistant.

I am thoroughly enjoying the watch. I upgraded from a Fitbit 3. I went back and fourth between this and the Oura ring and a newer fitbit. After enough research I decided this was a better choice. It was more expensive than the fitbit, but cheaper than the Oura ring, which also requires a subscription for most of it's features. The health features on this are pretty equivalent to what my Fitbit 3 had, but it had a few more like the ECG feature that the fitbit did not have. The screen is nice and bright and easy to read. I also like being able to adjust the watch face. I have a few I've checked out. The only downside is the battery life. I don't run alot on mine, but still need to charge it like every 24 hours or so.
