Plastic and the bottom section is cushy. Very durable. I have used daily for years. A very comfortable pen especially for guys with large hands.

I think you have to get the correct refill that Pilot makes for this pen. - K

Q: Hi. Will the bold gel G2 refills work with this pen also?

The description is confusing. The headline and photo say it's a gel pen, and I assume that's right, even though the rest of the description says ballpoint. The G2 refills will fit the gel pen. They won't fit the ballpoint. I used to use G2, but found that the EnerGel refills are the same size as the G2, but write better and the ink dries faster.

Q: Will this fine cartridge barrel take a "bold" cartridge refill?

I always get bold. It makes it like it's writing itself.

非常に使いやすいボールペンです。国内でも生産してほしいです。

非常に使いやすいボールペンです。インクの出もよく、グリップもクラシックタイプと同じ仕様で非常に良い感触です。国内で生産していないのが惜しまれてなりません。インクが油性ではないので、擦った時にすれることがたまにあるので、その点苦手な方は注意が必要かもしれません。

ドクターグリップのゲル式

日本では見ることのできないドクターグリップのゲルインキのもの。現在、日本で発売されているドクターグリップのボールペンでは、ゲルインキは替え芯を加工しないと使えない為、割高感を感じながらも購入。なお、替え芯は、Ｇ－３のものが使えます（同じゲルインキ）。試してみて、問題ないことを確認しました。
