WOW, this is a 20 Qt. commercial pot!
The thick base is amazing at transfering Gas flame heat- only used Med-Low heat to boil and simmer 14 Quarts of liquid soup. This a quality 20 Qt. exactly ( Measured It) commercial grade pot, no questions asked. It is quality stainless steel, food grade listed. Its heavy duty at 9 Lbs. 6.8 oz. (pot and top) This is not your cheap homeowners junk, this could last you a lifetime in your home. There is a very thick base to transfer heat. Love the tack weld handles, clean interior. Never put Stainless Steel away wet, and the instructions tell you that. I can't believe I got this for $45.99. Some suppliers wanted $69 to $100 for this pot. The true interior is 11.75 wide and 10.25 high. This pot will handle my soups, sauce, gravy and shellfish. Now that I know the interior dimensions, I can look for a basket strainer. I purchased the 20 qt. instead of the 16 qt. due to the great price. There is not much size difference between the two. This is a GREAT DEAL!!!!! After using this pot a few times, I must say that it is very efficient at conducting the gas flame and requires much less heat to boil and simmer than any aluminum pot. As for cleaning and spots on the stainless steel interior-That's what they make those scouring pads and steel wool for-put some muscle into it.

Awesome Pot!
This is a great heavy, heavy duty pot. I use it for my home beer brewing as a brew kettle over a propane burner and it is awesome! It is big enough that I never have boil overs and the steel is so thick I had my valve fitting welded on instead of using a removable weld-less through fitting. The bottom is tri-clad and about 1/2" thick. It is a great value. The inside and lower outside of the pot is not finished to a high smooth gloss like some of the more expensive pots but I have not found any negatives to that as far as cleaning or cooking go. I use a Scotch Brite pad for cleaning it and have noticed it getting a smoother finish. The handles and lid are incredibly well made. I know I will never need to replace it. I just might buy another one.

Best pot ever 12 qt
This pot is very sturdy and has a smooth finish. I purchased it in 2018, and it’s as good as ever. It cooks very evenly and is induction ready. I never have to worry about food burning. Thanks for this masterpiece!

... is my first stainless steel pot and I am delighted with the results I achieve using it
This is my first stainless steel pot and I am delighted with the results I achieve using it. It was delivered on time, well packaged and in perfect condition. I cleaned it as instructed. I was concerned by the note in the pot saying it was "for cooking sauces, but not storing them. Food stored in them for a long time may acquire a metallic taste." Since the soup was to be stored in this pot for about a week, I was concerned this problem would arise, but it never did. The soup was delicious, storing it in the pot for a week and a bit caused NO metallic taste to transfer, and it cleaned up like a dream. I purchased this pot because of my new glass stove top, knowing I could not use the large ceramic pots I had been using previously. I also purchased two smaller stainless steel pots from this company, both 8 quarts, and they are performing excellently as well. I can highly endorse these pots! They are much more reasonably priced than many other quality stainless pots and perform beautifully. Update International (SPS-16) 16 Qt Induction Ready Stainless Steel Stock Pot w/Cover

Great pot. Shipping Box too wimpy.
The pot itself is fantastic. I just finished cooking about 65 quarts of Green Chile sauce in my new 80 quart pot. It worked like a champ. I was surprised it was even delivered in a box, by the time it got to me, it was so shredded, it barely even held together. I'm sure this is why there was a small but deep dent in the pot. The dent doesn't effect cooking though, so whatever. Also, when it arrived, it was a little squished. The opening wasn't a perfect circle, it was slightly oval, not to the eye, but the lid wouldn't fit without squishing it the other direction. I'm assuming this also happened during shipping. Using a very long bar-clamp I have, I was able to re-shape the pot to be a circle once again, the lid fits correctly now. This is a serious pot, they need to use a serious box for shipping, even if it costs the consumer a little more. Thats my 2 cents.

Best stock pot ever!!
This pot is awesome! I could tell you about how awesome it is to be able to make "vats" of bone broth so you are only making stock 1-2 days out of the month instead of weekly, or how wonderfully it conducts heat (even if you have to set it on your little burner for awhile if you only have 1 big burner and need it to cook dinner on), or how great and heavy the stainless steel construction is so you don't have to worry about chemicals leaching into your food. BUT, the best part of this pot is the freaking lid!! It fits PERFECTLY so that you don't have to smell stock for 2-3 days while it is simmering on your stove, which was not the case when I used to use my old dutch oven. Before getting this pot I would grow SO tired of smelling chicken/beef stock all day and night, but with this pot, you only smell it when you lift the lid. Which also means that you don't lose any volume to evaporation. If you are looking for the ultimate stock pot, this (or any other similar pot by the same manufacturer) is it. You don't be disappointed, but do pay attention to the reviews, it IS a large pot.

a very good purchase
I bought this item for the sole purpose of home cheese making. I use it on electric cooker which I find more difficult to adjust compared to gas based ones. This pot has stood very well against over a year of frequent use. Its thick base helps even heat distribution and so far I have not experienced any burnt milk. I sometimes need to heat the whey for 45 minutes at the highest heat to achieve 200 F (for ricotta making) and even at that setting, I have seen nothing getting brown or nastily sticking to the bottom. As a part of cheese making I constantly monitor the temperature of the contents and I have not seen much difference between the bottom and the top (mixing or not mixing only makes 1F difference) which is another indication of even heat distribution. Capacity wise: For sure it is not 20 quarts. I have comfortably worked with up to 18 quarts (without the lid) and up to 16 quarts with the lid on (at 18 quarts lid touches to the milk, which in my opinion is a design flaw.). But for me it is enough and I was sort of expecting this capacity issue based on reviews so I can not complain about it. For cleaning, I use hand washing due to the massive size and it is not very easy but it is a price you have to pay for this size. I can also ensure you about the quality of steel. It does not get oxidized or go gray in time; and as long as you close the lid properly, it is not an insulated pot but it can retain the interior heat for sometime (it also depends on what you have in and its specific heat value plus the mass as well as the temperature difference between outside and inside) For example: 16 quarts of milk that has been heated up to 93F can retain the inner temperature over 85 for a couple of hours. For the price and quality, I think it was a good purchase and I recommend this item to anyone who is particularly interested in home cheese making.

Update is Excellent Quality !
I own a bunch of Update cookware as I have come to realize that it is a quality product line. This 60 quart is very a nice commercial quality pot, heavy construction , you will not be disappointed. These days quality like this is getting more difficult to find.
