My 8 year old Pomeranian is not a gobbler, I leave a bowl of a few cups of dry food that she eats over a few days. To make sure she gets the whole dose each day, I mix the kelp with a spoonful of yogurt and that she gobbles up. Her breath smelled like a wharf on a hot day. Super gross is an understatement. Within a few weeks I see a marked improvement in the stinky breath and her front teeth look better. Some of the plaque is gone. I used another product in the past but this works as well and is a much better value in price. UPDATE: I’m adding a photo, after a few weeks this gross hunk of plaque just popped off her back tooth with very little effort. We have a 9 month old Pyrenees that I have started giving this product. I am obviously a fan. I can’t affor d $400+ a year to get my dogs teeth cleaned, not to mention risks of anesthesia for an older dog.

This product is good. My my dogs had tarter and it helped soften it up so I can brush the plaque off. However there is still a stain on my dogs teeth and they still have bad breath. The other benefits it claims to have I did not notice. My dogs still have vomited and they still have lots of fleas.

Glad I added this to my pups diet, just a pinch in each bowl has helped his coat stay AMAZINGLY soft. Many other dog owners I've met have mentioned how incredibly soft his fur is, I do credit it to the sea kelp and his Wellness puppy food. I do believe it's helped out with the pigment in his nose as well. As you can see in the photos, it was a bit blotchy with white patches when I brought him home. Within two weeks, his nose is now a nice rich black all over. Highly recommended! My frenchie loves it!

this stuff did not help my dog at all, in fact, she really won't eat with it on her food. I gave it three stars because it also didn't cause any issues. I got this to replace dental powder because they cause her to have itchy skin, but they also do really well with keeping plaque and tartar at bay. It says it has other benefits but I didnt see any other changes either. She finished 90% of the bag, with daily use.

I started this because my dog had a low active thyroid, he has very coarse hair on his hind legs as well. He had been taking this supplement for the past 3 months before he passed away from a brain tumor. His hair got super soft and shiny ( not oily), he seemed to improve with a little boost of energy until his brain tumor got larger and his breath started to smell a lot better! Since he has passed we are using the balance of the sea kelp on our yorkie, his breath WOW is way better, and his coat is super soft!

This product is actually great. I used it when I first placed my dog on an all raw food diet after she developed strong allergies on kibble. I read up and found that traditional raw dog food made at home is missing a few elements and iodine being one of them. So I purchased this. I originally wrote a bad review because my dog lost a lot of weight while on the diet but everything from her coat to her energy levels improved strangely. I found out later my dog has malabsorption issues together with allergies to kibble. I thought this product was to blame as the rest of her food was just plain protein and veggies. Her weight loss was not due to this product. I’m sorry for writing that mean review. While on this product her coat because so incredibly soft that both myself and my S.O. noticed. Even strangers would comment saying she felt like a puppy with such soft fur. I will absolutely recommend this product. I apologize for what I previously wrote and my incorrect assumption about this product.

I wanted this product because my dog started to have a little plaque on her back tooth and this is supposed to help remove plaque. When I opened the bag, I smelled a fishy smell but said oh well it is sea kelp and added a small amount to my dog's food. She wouldn't eat her food with this product in it. I rinsed her bowl and put food in it the next day without this product and she still wouldn't eat until I literally washed the bowl with dish detergent to get whatever leftover smell was in there from this product. This may need to have something added to mask the smell for those picky eaters.

This is my second order for the organic sea kelp and must say this is a value for money spent. My one dog breath was unbearable no matter what I treat I fed her. The second pup's mouth smelled like straight vomit. No lie. This sea kelp sprinkled in their food 1x a day is AMAZING! It's almost time to purchase more so I will order a larger bag third time around.
