Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Notebook

I bought this in December of 2023, it is now May of 2025. The photos were taken two years later for visible durability results.I’ve taken this notebook out in the rain and gotten it thoroughly soaked—one of the photos I’ve included shows what happens after it dries. The pages aren’t perfectly straight or pristine anymore, but honestly, that’s kind of the point. Their products are made for people like me who are really hard on their gear.Even after getting wet, my notes are still completely legible and haven’t smeared at all. The information inside covers the core essentials of CERT, and while it’s not the full handbook, it’s packed with useful, practical details for anyone working in the field. I always bring this book with me when I’m hiking or camping, and I’ve even started carrying a bunch of their other products, too.After getting this notebook wet several times and seeing how well it holds up, I’m sold—I’ll definitely be buying their full waterproof line and even their copy paper. (Yes, they make copy paper, and yes, I’m buying that too!) If you’re in law enforcement, fire, or the military, they have specialized notebooks for those professions as well.These notebooks make fantastic gifts, and they’re exactly what any working man or woman needs for tough conditions. I buy them regularly from their website and Amazon, using them all the time for important notes. Highly recommend!

A friend recommended this manual to me as I was going through CERT training. The booklet itself contains all of the critical information you need when responding to a CERT activation. Being printed on "rite in the rain" paper means that it is incredibly durable and robust, which are great considering the conditions you will likely be in when you need to refer to it. The booklet also includes some blank pages for note taking in an actual event. Overall, well designed and laid out, printed, and assembled.

As a CERT Member and Trainer, This is a perfect in the field mini guide for nearly all CERT actions. It give the most important facts, diagrams, and charts for CERT Operations. It is also a good refresher for any one that has not trained in a while. Everything is there, simple and concise. Search and Rescue, Triage, First aid, medical Ops, disaster prepaedness and much more. Small enough to fit in your CERT bag or even a vest pocket and durable enough to last for years of outdoors use. It makes good match with the CERT Teams all weather forms book.

Great but a bit expensive

This is a very informative notebook but I was expecting it to be more “notebook” than “book”. There is only a very small section in the back with a few blank pages for your own notes. The rest of the notebook is charts and information related to CERT.

All the essential CERT info at your fingertips whether you took the training or not. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As an Emergency Manager that frequently reviews and uses various emergency related documents, I found this guide to contain the necessary documents needed in the field in the event of a disaster; all in an easy to access handbook that is small enough that I can fit it into my tactical vest. The "All-Weather" pages are easy to write on, even in the rain and snow, and are easy to clean so that they are ready for my next event. I would highly recommend this guide to anyone involved in the CERT progrgam or to anyone interested in ensuring their own safety during a disaster. It is a "MUST" for any emergency preparedness kit!
