I got my hands on the 500GB variant for an effective price of just ₹8750 during the Amazon Great Indian Sale.Speed : Blazing Fast !Size : Barely the size of a Visiting Card.It comes with two Cables :USB C to C (for connecting it to an Android device)USB C to A (for connecting to a PC/Mac)Both support USB 3.1

I am now totally fed up with lower transfer rates of pen drives so I gave a shot to this compact SSD. I just got it on 1st August 2018.My thoughts:1. Highly compact2. High amount of transfer speed (Only if you have USB 3.0 port on PC / Laptop)3. 150mb+ transfer rate4. TESTED: Copied 5 GB movie file in 18 secondsGo for it guys...!!!

Speed as expected. 2.5gb transfer time 7 second.

Worst product ever waste of money... Speed is just 10-20mb/s... Dont ever get this product

Unstable connection using provided usbs, They do not fit in completely nor lock in2. Speeds like 30-80 Megabyte per seconds even after being ssd connected to Usb 3.1, thunderbolt or type c connection on laptop/desktop/mobile phone (I have note 9)3. Super costly, we are paying just for portability and weight. Not enough gains compared to other normal external storage optionsI am still going to keep using as I bought for compact design and type c-type c use case

Was getting something like 470 MB/s write speed and similar read speed. Just plugin the usb-3.1 cable to get this speed. Very very light weight & small ... almost like 3-4 credit cards stacked together. Waiting for further price drops and will get the 1TB then.CON: Wish it had some LED lights or something to indicate activity. Also, you don't get a full 500 GB, you get only around 465 GB. I knew from previous reviews that is expected ... but still, a little disappointed about all vendors (not just samsung) twist the GB figures (they never use multiples of 1024 instead they will use 1000) and don't reveal exactly what you are getting in their advertisements.

Switched from a WD hard drive to this portable SSD. Googled the best in portable SSD. Before ordering this, I already owned a Samsung T5 500GB. Using these SSD for video editing and i can say it is worth my investment. I actually wanted to go for the sandisk portable SSD but I was abit sceptical of the reviews and the reliability. Long story short, for those of you who want a reliable SSD the T5 by Samsung is the way to go, i give it a 9/10. Fast and reliable SSD for me when I’m working on my videos, only reason why its not 10/10, not shockproof and non water resistant. Other than that I really recommend this product. Cheers 😊

I have tried quite a few external SSDs. Heating is a big concern, as one of my previous extermal SSDs became super hot after transfering big files or even in idle, and after a year it started unmounting itself. I tested this T5，while in idle, it is absolutely cooler than others. After big data file transfer, it is cools itself quick. The speed is not the fastest, however, it is super fast to replace the HDD for data backup and mac Time Machine use. It is excellent.

These are the best portable USB SSD's I've come across. I have two, a 250GB and 500GB. Over 400 MB/s read/write on USB 3.0 type C to type A cable (Windows 10). Both USB 3.0 type A to type C cable and USB 3.1 type C to type C cable included. Powered by host PC, incredibly compact.

500gb model good value and able to store 100’s of hi res photos. Good brand, easily fits even small pockets. USB C to USB C cable supplied for fast transfers.

I've had the 500 GB version for about 2 years now and love it. Super tiny, so very portable, plus SSD gives me confidence in its ability to save/store. I use it primarily as a removable drive on my backup server at home, but needed to upgrade to the larger disk.
