Review: Exceeds expectations -- best invention since the iPod. - This device towers above every silly, derivative and gratuitous novelty being peddled by aspiring entrepreneurs on "Shark Tank," where the message is: To the Energy Bunny goes the gig (with Mark, if you're lucky). I expected another screwdriver with a magnetic tip barely holding a screw straight enough and long enough to be effective without an electric drill. Much to my surprise, this invention ("gadget" is too frivolous a word for a tool as practical as this) is better than a 2nd human helper (even one willing to withstand multiple blows to the fingers)! An ingenious spring works in combination with the tool's slotted holder to enable precision alignment of your screw followed by near-permanent attachment between the driver and the screw--from starting the screw-hole to finishing the job. The Klein Phillips screwdriver is with you every millimeter and millisecond of the way. Just a couple of cautions: 1. The size of the screw head is everything. Make sure it's a "wood screw" with a head that's sufficiently wide and deep (the tiny area that fans out from the screw to the underside of the head). If it's the wrong size, you should know immediately, as it won't earn a solo spot at the screwing end of the device. (I had some "ringers" that were instantly expelled.). 2. Don't get "vicious" about turning the driver until it absolutely will not budge. The driver has a clever "safety" that should prevent you from "over-screwing." Try to be good with "tight": no need to exhaust all your "might." Don't push it. It knows what it's doing. I bought my first iPod in 2002. I wish I could say this intelligent screwdriver is the best invention since the iPhone (2008), but sadly (for me) a device that tries to be a phone in addition to an iPod, a quality camera, an audio-video recorder, a GPS, a movie theater, and a computer amounts to one confusing (not to mention confused) telephone. **Q: Is the shaft and bit steel or plastic?**
A: The shaft and bit are steel.  There is a plastic sheath, that slides over the the steel shaft, used to hold a screw on the bit.  The plastic sheath has a molded end towards the handle to help your thumb operate the sheath.

**Q: I assume the #2 Screw holder, will hold 2-56 Machine screw; but will it hold a 6-32 or 832?**
A: I would not assume it will hold a 2-56.    I will probably hold screws 6-32 and larger

**Q: is this screwdriver made in the usa or i it another made in china junk**
A: This is the best pocket screwdriver I have ever used. I'm a journeyman mechanic/electrician of 20 yes. I have used a lot of different brands, this is the only one that the tip outlasted the rubber grip. Lasted about 2 yrs. Usually the tip twists or breaks with all the other brands I've tried, and I've tried many. And for the price, that's a no-brainer for me. That's why I'm back.
