comparing with lodge grill, this one has larger cooking surface. I use it on induction. As for the enamel, i can't tell, just treated as lodge, season it with shortening. It is not sticky, since I use medium heat to cook. I just use soft brush and hot water to rinse. If it gets sticky, spray white vinegar and let it soak for a while will help.

We do not have access to an outdoor grill, so I decided to buy this grill pan. I am so glad I did, we use the pan 3 to 4 times a week. It cooks steaks just like a grill, and wonderful for sandwiches, and vegetables.. This is a high quality grill, and we love it! Easy clean up too!!

This cast-iron enameled pan is a pleasant surprised, it is in real life much better than it looks in publicity. Easy to clean, it performs really well.

I love this product. One of my favorite items in my kitchen... It's a lot easier to wash than my previous one.

I ordered several LAVA cast iron pieces, including this round grill pan. I am a long time vegetarian (now totally vegan) and have never used a grill (indoor or outdoor) before in my life. It's simply never been an "essential" tool to me. As I have been updating my cookware and these grill pans seem so popular these days, I figured I'd order a smaller one and see if I could come up with some things to make on a grill. I didn't want to get one that was too expensive in case I didn't like using it or one that was so small it was impractical to use like other enameled cast iron brands offer. This seemed to be a reasonable size (not too big, not too small) and the price was good. I was not really sure if I should use oil or not, so I put a very light coating of olive oil on it. I grilled up some peppers, tomatoes and avocados. They came out pretty tasty and had neat little grill lines. I soaked it overnight and it cleaned up pretty easily. I want to try black bean burgers on it and top them with the grilled avocados. Overall, it seems like a handy piece to have, especially when guests come over because the grill lines look neat for presentation. I do wish they had the same smooth black enamel on the outside of this pan as on their other black cookware (it's black matte enamel all over).
