Build specifically for purpose.
Iโve been rucking for about 10 months now to save lower back and knee problems I got running. Itโs a big investment when a standard rucksack can take upto 20kg, but this is worth the investment. The plate (20kg I ordered) sits in the rucksack at just below the shoulder and follows the spine down, instead of a load of free weight moving around at the bottom of a standard rucksack. Used for the first time today, usual distance and terrain, and the weight sits well, high on the back and loads the pecs, traps, lats and seems to remain static in spite of there not being a waist strap. Can be fitted separately later. When finished I felt the de-load much more prominently than my old ad hoc system. Iโm just assuming I got a much better workout. No pronounced soreness in the lats.Position of the straps works well for me - I have broad shoulders.l and canโt complain. Allowed very good arm and shoulder mobility while marching on today. Just note that when you remove the ruck it doesnโt stand upright and will find its own way to ground, especially noteworthy if you had items on the kitchen surface ๐.One criticism, there isnโt a scale on the shoulder straps to know if youโve levelled each side properly. Had to eyeball it but Iโve assumed Iโm loaded equally. Some room for more 1kg bricks in the future.Good buy, happy.

Well constructed, comfortable and sturdy.
Got this with the 20kg plate. I use it on a one hour, three mile walk we do with our dogs. Have used it about ten times now. It is very well constructed and sturdy. The compartment for the metal weight plate also works well. It keeps the plate secure and it doesn't move around. The backpack also has a spare bit of extra space.

Quality
Great product!I have just started my rucking journey, so started with the smallest weight, but this pack is so comfortable and well put together I have no doubts it will take additional weight as I progress. My only (tiny) issue is the addition capacity: not a lot of additional space for a bit of shopping, though perfect for a laptop and work bits if you โruckโ to the office.

Not good for heavy weight
I would give this 3.5 stars if I could. The quality is good, however after using this everyday for several months a number of things have become apparent. There is no waste strap - I have been trying to use 35kg but find the shoulder straps uncomfortable by themselves. This also means that if you lean forward, the backpack and all the weight slides forward into the back of your head, or causes you to overbalance as the weight shifts. There is no internal strapping for additional plates. If you use more than 1 plate, the second is in an elasticated sleeve that just bounces in and out as you are walking banging into you with every step.I would say this would be a reasonable solution for lighter weights, but there are probably cheaper options. I would have a refund if I could and go for a more practical rucksack with weight plates.

Solid product
Sits well and snuggly against the back, have used it with the 10kg plate +2.5 plate from a dumbell. Makes walks very intense, as intended.
