Best chocolates!

Arrived on time. The chocolate was fresh and tasty as expected.

Growing up we never really kept candy at home but before Christmas my mum would spend weeks stocking up on various food items which became a staple of our Christmas: Christmas pudding, ingredients for the Christmas cake, Yule log, After Eights, Just Brazils, BabyCham and of course a big tin of Chocolates which would either be Quality Street or Roses. When I moved here, I missed my British staples but as my mum always visited right before the holidays, we were usually treated to them but this year a summer trip meant I was on my own in trying to create a bit of British in America!! Thankfully Amazon as usual is the place for everything you need - and British Chocolate was no exception! The price is hard to beat - this is the large size tin and the price is far more favorable than World Market (which rarely if ever carries this size anyway and has currently given up on Cadburys!) BUT the real test is the taste!! Now as a wanna be chocoholic with limited access to candy as a child I became a master of slicing through the tape, removing some candy, and taping the tin back up to make it look unopened -thus getting first dibs on the best flavors and sad but true my habit has remained to this day so shortly after the box arrived, the taste test took place. I admit I was a bit skeptical about buying from Amazon - would they be old? Melted in transit? Taste Stale? But no - these taste just as good as the ones my mum buys in Tesco (Brit grocery chain)! Good old caramel logs, the hazelnut centers, the chunky dairy milk...yum!! So ex pats and chocolate lovers alike with both enjoy this British treat, fresh and delicious at a great price from good old Amazon!!

I love Roses and quality steeet chocolates, coconut is my favorite flavor- which roses doesn’t have! Beautiful wrappers and selection otherwise!

The chocolate was old and discolored and did not taste good and we are not able to return it because it is a food item. It looks like it’s been sitting in a warehouse for a long time. We won’t be buying this again. I gave it one star because you can’t choose a lower number.

Though they get smaller each year, Cadbury's Roses are a Christmas tradition in our home since the first time I went to the UK in 1987. They were delivered on-time, undamaged and fresh!
