I take several herbal medications to help the arthritis in my knees so I can keep climbing the mountains. Although it's hard to tell which ones actually help, since arthritis can come and go somewhat randomly, my experience seems to indicate that Kaishore Guggulu and MSM are the most important ones to take, and this particular brand of K.G. seems to help more than the other brands I've tried.

The price is the same, the number of tablets is the same, but now they are half the size. A 100% price increased, hidden in the fine print. Very Disappointed. That's it for me...

Watch out - the State of California found unacceptable levels of lead in this brand, and apparently it is difficult to find a version of this product from any manufacturer that is not tainted with heavy metals; the same applies to Bacopa and all Ayurvedic medicines. Ayurvedic medicine includes the practice known as Rasa Shastra, which consists of the intentional addition of metals, including lead, mercury and arsenic, as therapeutic adjuncts. Yep. Just because it's an ancient eastern tradition doesn't mean it's a time-honored source of Wisdom. I read some books on the subject, and have used some of the herbs, and am now cleansing myself with Chlorella and Cilantro. A side note, if you have been victimized by any of these toxic products and want to get the lead out so to speak, Google the fore-mentioned combination and take them according to the instructions; if you proceed too aggressively at mobilizing these metals you may have unwanted results. Another side note, many ancient Chinese medicines have also been found to be contaminated with these metals. Since the FDA does little to protect consumers of alternative medicines the best way to check the safety of herbs is to google California proposition 65 and the herb and brand name; if issues have been raised in California under state law you may have reason to doubt the safety of the product. I would not recommend paying for the analyses of Consumer Labs, I will not go into detail here but google it yourself, there may be a conflict of interest in their reported results; and you have to pay them.
