I am a guy with very sensitive skin and I love this all-natural mask. I apply this mask 2x a week and it's great ! Dries quickly and highly effective at pulling impurities out of your skin. The first two times I used it, the next day it actually automatically deep cleaned a white head (sorry to be graphic). Before that, I was using another mud mask sold on Amazon and that wasn't as effective at deep cleaning even though it was much gentler when it dried. This mask, on the other hand, really makes the skin taut once it dries so I would not leave it on more than a half hour at the maximum. I combine it with aplying a Kitsch conditioner bar on my long hair. Leave both on together for a half hour, and then get cleaned up. After that, I hydrate my skin with all-natural aloe vera (only aloe vera + glycerin) also bought on Amazon.

The clay mask is fantastic. It has a luxurious and rich texture that's easy to apply, like a liquid foundation. I used it for about 15 mins to really let my skin detox, but keep in mind this process can be intense. I've done a lot of detox and filter my water, so my skin sensitivity can handle this kind of detox. It's quite intense, and esp if it's your first time I would recommend mixing this with a creamy face wash to reduce the intensity for people with sensitive skin. The directions say to keep it on for 5 mins, because this is usually when the detox starts to fully kick in and start to feel a burning sensation. Mixing it with a natural cream-based face wash will help reduce the intensity and help you keep it on longer. Also, if it burns, rinse your skin with cool water, as using lukewarm water (or warmer) will intensify any burning sensations. Warm water is okay for me, but my sister is pretty new to this and she said it burned even more when are rinsed with warm water, lol. Detoxifying masks are great. It can be a surprising experience at first when it burns. You can use less to reduce the intensity, or mix it with a natural cream or oil. It's helped improve my skin hydration and elasticity, as well as reduced my acne, skin sensitivity, and excessive oil production. Cheers!

I've spent a lot of time at the Dead Sea and usually fly back with several packages of Ahava mud, which is unfortunately too expensive in the States. I'm so happy to find this mud at an affordable price by this seller! If you've never done a mud mask before, PLEASE TEST ON A SMALL PATCH OF SKIN FIRST, like on the neck, to see if your skin tolerates it. I've got very sensitive skin and I experience zero issues. But some people have mentioned burning, and this is not the product's fault -- either their skin just doesn't tolerate it, or they left it on too long. I've seen pics of people applying thick, heavy layers of the mud. DON'T DO THAT! You need only a few dabs and then spread them out. It should be a thin layer that dries within a minute or two, then leave it on for a few more minutes and wash it off. The people in the pics put on a thick layer that took too long to dry, and so they ended up having the mask on too long. DON'T DO THAT! After the mud, my skin feels and looks tighter and cleaner, without the harsh scrubbing of an exfoliant. FOLLOW UP WITH A MOISTURIZER after the mask. KEEP JAR SEALED TIGHT so mud doesn't dry out!

Very nice drying clay face mask. Makes your skin feel nice and soft when rinsed off. My daughter and I were using this on a weekly basis with no problem but unfortunately I developed a reaction after a few weeks of use.
