I purchased these for my son who does track 5 days a week. Let me start with the fact that I have tried many other things to help keep the smell away from his sneakers and I have had no such luck. I would have him leave his sneakers out in the mud room cause it's just the worst smell, even after washing them in the machine that wouldn't help. I said let me give these a try and they sure did not disappoint. I put them into not only his sneakers but also his gym bag and it's a total game changer. They cover up most of the smell from my kids cleats. They are more of a deodorizer, I didn’t expect they would eliminate the smell. They aren’t perfect but I don’t think anything would be, lol!

For, literally, years I have had a pair of similar products...but with a pleasant mint scent...which I bought at Krogers. They (the original pair) are still going strong, keeping my shoes deodorized. I hoped to find the same product on Amazon. But alas. One thing I like about the Krogers product is, not only the scent, but also the fact that they have a FLAT SURFACE on two side which prevent it from rolling off the night stand when not in use in my shoes. I'm forever having to pick the Amazon product up off the floor after taking them out of my shoes and placing them on the nightstand which I do to avoid stepping on them in the dark...which might happen if I put them on the floors between uses.

Scent last for quite some time. I’ve had the same one in my garbage pail for us the past several months and it still scented. It makes the garbage pail smell great.
