In theory this should be a really good idea. It's like one of those 'Cone Trees' but without the attached lights, which need an external mains electricity supply. So you simply attach your own battery operated lights and outdoor decorations. Unfortunately it's very difficult to assemble as the upper and lower parts don't align properly. Indeed, in the struggle to try and force the parts to align, one of the metal alloy pins on the upper part snapped off, forcing me to come up with a 'Mcgyver' solution, which means that it can now no longer be disassembled to pack away. So with this item it may well be the luck of the draw, if you get one that fits properly, it would seem that not much in the way of quality control is applied to the manufacture of this item.
