American Home K2R 33001 Spot Remover, 5 Ounce

K2R is very effective in eliminating spots for grease, oil, and dirt from garments that would require dry cleaning. The action involves a solvent, propelled by compressed gas, and an absorbent powder. The solvent dissolves the spot, the powder absorbs it. Sometimes more than one application is needed. This product has been around for years. It has been, for me, particularly effective on wool and cotton. Both fibers are absorbent.

A friend who recommended this called it "magical" and she was right! Works well on carpet. Haven't tried it on fabric. Some old (like several years old stains under the couch) needed muliple sprayings to come out but newish stains come out in one try. It's smelly so you may want to open windows before using.

When I accidentally smeared oil-based antibiotic ointment on my Herman Miller Embody chair, the manual recommended K29 to remove stains. I'd never heard of the product, but gave it a shot to save the beautiful blue seat of my preposterously expensive chair. To use, you spray a quick (~1 sec) burst onto the affected area, and wait until it dries. It turns into a powder that extracts the stain with it which can be brushed away. It worked fabulously to remove the oily blotch, however, there is now some slight lightening of the fabric in the treated area. While I notice the lightened spots in the right light, this is definitely worth it as the huge oily blotch is completely gone otherwise. I haven't tested it on other items yet, I would imagine a white/light colored fabric would respond better than the deep blue of my chair.

This stuff is pure magic for stain removal, super effective, dries quick and easy to use. I use it on my laundry and have never had any problems or adverse effects. The only draw back is the smell is very strong

K2R kind of works, I bought it to clean my fabric shoes that got ruined in my wedding with the rain, it sort of removed the stains. I also tried it on a few spots on an old couch--it did clean the food stains, but the mysterious, unknown stains are still there. Also, it's very dusty and smelly, very hard to get off of the fabric after you spray it on.

Had a stain on some upholstery, tried cleaning it how I normally would, but that kinda made the stain bigger? So I googled it, found this stuff k2r, and wow it just about fixed the entire thing in one pass. I'll do a couple more but I'm very impressed.
