Mattel Games Apples to Apples

I bought this to take to a friends house for game night with his kids. 9 year old boy, 11 year old girl, my friend and his wife, my wife and me. Wife and I have no kids. Game was a huge success. Kids begged for their dad to invite us back for more game nights. We've had 2 and have another next week now. The game is fun for all ages for many reasons. Everyone is participating almost all the time, instead waiting for 5 other people to take their turns. Because all are trying to match a key word, all participate every turn. Also interesting and fun is that the judge for each turn decides the best match based on their own judgement. With my very intelligent friend, his judgement will be very literal and scientific. With his 9yo son, judgement will be whimsical and funny. It is entertaining for all ages. The cards in the junior version definitely contain some famous figures that us older folk (50s) didn't get, but the kids did. Not too many though. The cards have held up to child exuberance so far. I cringe at times at the handling, but none are bent or creased yet. The game is very quick to understand.

The kids love this game, and you learn a lot about them through their choices. There's enough variety in the cards for adults to enjoy, too.

Once you get the hang of it, it is great fun! Played this game on a vacation when our VRBO host had provided a game cabinet. Ordered a copy for our own once we were back home. Good for all ages, though younger players (6-9 yrs) might struggle with some of the references intended by adult players. Good time for all but even better if you have a few players with jaded minds ;)

Very easy to play and lots of fun for all the players

Mattel Games Apples to Apples Party Box is not the same game as the original Apples to Apples. This is a great game and is fun for all ages but no where near as fun as the original Apples to Apples game. While we did have fun with family and friends (ages 8-50) we didn’t laugh and enjoy the game as much as when we played the original version. This family game is easy to learn and a good time. We love game night and look forward to it. This game comes with 441 Red Apple Cards, 63 Green Apple Cards, a card tray and game rules. This game is very small and easy to store away. Very convenient! Recommended age is 12-15 years old but any age (with guidance) can play and enjoy themselves in my opinion.

This is the perfect version for young kids. My kids are 7 and 9. I wanted a game that would help them improve their reading and vocabulary. This game is PERFECT for it and honestly we laughed forever playing this. It's a game my kids actively beg to play. The cards are relatable for them including harrypotter, minecraft, Taylor swift, and Spiderman references. Definitions are simple and to the point. I love that my kids are learning while having a good time with family.

Fun family game that is easy to play. The speed of the game is based on the ability to play but generally goes fast. The cards have a wide variety of answers. The game holds up nicely.

Kids love this game!

Not a big fan of board games where you have to move counters so this is good for me. Good fun for all the family - if you have funny people around you, you’ll have a really good laugh playing this.

Le jeu est arrivé dans sa boite, telle que vous voyez sur l'image, avec deux grandes étiquettes avec le code barre et mon nom et adresse collés dessus. La boite est arrivée sale de boue (il pleuvait) et avec un coin un peu cassé. Je ne peux pas enlever les étiquettes car autrement j'arracherais le dessus de la boite. J'allais utiliser le jeu pour mes élèves, mais avec mon adresse ce n'est pas top. Sinon le jeu est intact à l'intérieur.
