The Blackmagic Design eGPU is a good but by no means the best graphics processor. That being said it is more than adequate for my needs. It is a bit more expensive compared to similar units with one major difference, it is not upgradeable. It is, however, VERY quiet. The unit is extremely well designed and built. The unit also acts as a USB-A(4)& C(2) hub. It also has one HDMI 2.0 video out port. The unit is constructed of one piece of aluminum and specially designed grills. It is heavy at 9.2 lbs. It looks more like a piece of art that happens to be functional which is more than can be said for other external GPUs. The only real downside is that it’s not upgradable. It was designed in cooperation with Apple.
