Q: Is this sword battle ready?

No, absolutely not. 1060 carbon steel is made for cheap blades that will only stand up to light abuse. It will chip and possibly break if not treated with care. Look for something with 1070 or 1095 steel if you want a battle ready sword, if you want 1060 steel, you can get a katana for $40, not this rip off

Q: How durable is this sword? I saw the video of the guy cutting cylinder blocks.

Never fight with a katana or a wakizashi metal on metal. Practise with bamboo, straw human figures, or melon's. This like all American sword's aren't tempered like the more expessive Japanese katana's and wakizashi's. You get what you pay for. I hope this helps.
