The deckhand fits the bill. It was quite sharp right out of the package. It's substantial enough to lend itself to control. The micarta handle is big enough for a four-finger grip in my hands. The sheath is snug on the knife with no wiggle. There's a useful amount of tension when pulling out the knife, but not too much. The sheath is sturdy and the clip is of good simple quality.
