A: It is a 4 pound container. There is a mistake on the listing.

**Q: is this really a 48 pound container?**
A: no it is not

**Q: does this make your grass powdery looking?**
A: Yes it does, but with time and  watering your grass it goes away,  as long as you still see the white powder it is still working, when there is no powder then you need to reapply.

**Q: How do you use it? I have a 5 acres of property**
A: Just sprinkle it where ever you don't want snakes, I sprinkle it right from the container, or wear gloves and use your hands,  think of something else, what ever works for you. I sprinkle it around my property line. or you can just put it around your house and barn all out buildings.
