Suitable radiator for nursery quiet and efficient
Excellent radiator This radiator is used in the nursery to keep our baby at the ideal temperature it’s average size like most oil filled radiators it’s also much quieter the old radiator we used had a click sound when reaching temperature and then also turning back on we found this was waking our baby through the night which is way we changed the radiator It gives out plenty of heat used over night on the lowest setting probably 1/4 way on the dial and keeps the room at 21 degrees easily Sturdy weight but similar to most oil filled radiators and easy to install just a standard plug for power You turn on the radiator with the dial up full on setting 1,2 or 3 and wait for room to reach the temperature require when it does you turn the dial back towards zero till it goes off it should then maintain that temperature I have not had to adjust the radiator at all unlike the last model which was very temperamental The dial for the timer was ideal for autumn when just the nights were cold I had set it to come on over night with winter it is set at a constant 21 degrees so baby always has a warm room for daytime naps and bedtime

Well made, heats up a good sized room
Bought this in January 2023, to heat my bedroom, dry my washing over (and in turn, keep my tropical poison dart frogs tanks at the right temperature). It's had two years of constant use except those few weeks in summer where we've had heatwaves. When I say constant use, I mean it! It's easy to set up, easy to move around, a bit clumsy on carpet but still moves, doesn't easily fall over (I have four dogs, including a bull terrier, who hadn't managed to KO it). Power output wise, warms up relatively quickly, takes a while longer to warm up the room if the temperature has dropped significantly or when it's been off a while (which wasn't often in the room I used this) but certainly blasts the heat out, in less than 30 minutes can warm the room to a lovely, comfortable toasty temp. Just in case anyone also likes to dry their laundry, with a wing airer over it, it can dry a pair of freshly washed jeans, combat trousers, 5 tshirts, a weeks underwear and a towel in about 1-2 hours and you won't lose heat from the room (so double that time for an entire wing airer, I only used one wing set above the radiator, you'd have to short your airer around to properly dry the other side quickly). If you aren't bothered about drying your stuff quickly, it'll dry everything overnight without the airer over it anyway. Power cable is a bit short but it's not like you need to have it stood on the middle of the room, mine was about 3 ft away from the window wall, and heated the whole room evenly. It does get hot when on, and is very hot to touch on the highest setting, but then it's an oil filled radiator, that's how it disperses it's heat?! Functionality wise, the only annoying bit it the timer, which is fiddly, but easy enough to set. I originally started with mine set on a timer, but switched to just leaving the radiator on, as the rest of the house is freezing and draughty and sucks all the warm air out of my room, I was losing heat too quickly when the timer knocked the radiator off meaning my frogs tanks weren't being kept to temperature, so left it on. After two years, the radiator has now died, RIP my trusty heat filled friend, but after constant use, i would say it's been great value for money and have ordered another to replace the the temporary one I have heating the room, which is nowhere near as good as the Vonhaus.

A great way to keep a a room warm but do NOT let it over heat. Once tripped, it's gone.
Very quick to set up, straight out of the box. Easy to use with good controls, especially the little red lights that let you know it is on and whether it is on setting one, two or three. The 24hr timer clock is fiddly and you have to remember to unplug before setting the little (and I mean little) widget-y bits to decide what time you want the heater to turn on or off over the course of the 24 hour day. My heater was for my office, which is in an old part of the building and with old fashioned windows. Except during heat waves, it was good to keep the heater on and set the timer to warm the office space up in the morning and the late afternoon. Minor adjustments to suit the season. The main issue was the weekend - I confess I did not always remember to switch the heater off on a Friday evening. It is also important to turn it off using the switches on the unit - essentially setting zero. If you turn off at the plug the timer stops and you have to reset the clock each time. The black colour made is look smart in an office setting, it was easy to move about - close to my desk when very cold and out of sight when in meetings. Of course it conked out two years and one month after purchase. Which is annoying. However, we did purchase a replacement.

Good product - does the job and looks great in black
Only had it for a few days but seems to be doing the job. Heats quickly and holds its well. Easy to assemble, just the base and castors which took 5 minutes. Looks good in black. Arrived quickly. Price is good for the product. Would buy again.

Looks good and heats up the room wonderfully.
This is a brilliant product. It looks really smart and gives out wonderful warmth. I’ve done a lot of research and this Oil Filled Radiator is the best. The feet were very easy to assemble and I’m in my 80s. Enjoying my lovely warm lounge now.

Warm and toasty
Good size, very functional as can be moved on coasters. Good control options. Warm and toasty studio. Uses a bit more energy though. Otherwise, great.

Excellent Heater
An excellent heater. It is in use for several hours every day in a storage shed to keep the contents dry and avoid mould developing, particularly over the winter months. Timer allows you to set it for daily requirements and it has adjustable heat output and a thermostat. Safety tilt function works well and being oil-filled it is inherently safe. Very impressed and good value at just £60.

Some room for change - isn’t there always?
Good heater with a few issues: 1. There’s no handle to carry the thing save for a fragile looking lip on the control panel. Maybe a handle where the do not cover sticker is? 2. The heater has some form of borborygmi - rumbly and swishy. That’s picky I guess. 3. The heat level selector is nicely ‘stealth’ but even in good lighting it’s got no real indication of where the rotary switch is. 4. A longer power lead would be nice 5. The timer really could use some design rethinking - maybe digital is the way to go? Good stuff: Warm, quick to heat a room, unobtrusive. So what? Mix design features of Amazon basics heater with this and you’ll have a great heater. As it is, I’d recommend as good vfm. Would that the manufacturers read this and maybe take some points into account. An update 12/28/23 - the two power level buttons stick and it’s pot luck when and if they unstick. The heater is relatively new and in fairness to the manufacturer this could be a one off not found on any other heater sold here. Don’t let one issue on one heater put you off, please. To record that the customer service is excellent - fault noted 12/28 & new heater delivered 12/29 (that’s over the time between Christmas and new year). Brilliant. It might be said that anyone can sell you stuff but it’s what happens when things go wrong that shows how good the seller is: here they were excellent. That’s me done with this tale - thankfully it seems to have a happy ending. Update: 4/1/25 the heater stopped working and, after checking the usual things (fuse etc) it is dead. Happened on what was the coldest day of the year. Had to buy new heater but would love to hear from vonhaus if anything can be done. Amazon customer services were not at all helpful (anyone else noted how Amazon CS seems to be getting worse? That’s my opinion based on experience & not a statement of fact btw. Further update: the company have agreed to replace the heater, for which I’m most grateful. As noted in my first comments above, it’s only when things go wrong that how far a company takes customer service seriously. They’ve passed consistently.
