Ministry Of Sound: Pump It Up - Dancemix [DVD]

I had this dvd when it came out back in 2008 and it is still just as awesome now! I enjoy the dance routines and the workout is fun. Would highly recommend this seller, they were very quick replying to messages and I am very happy with this product :)

I bought this DVD a couple of years ago because I love dancing, clubbing and wanted a workout dvd that I wouldn't get bored of after 2 or 3 uses, I don't really use workout dvds but I'd just cancelled my gym membership so needed some other form of exercise.I always do all the routines in one go and I love the music and the fact that you're learning dance moves rather than just following boring aerobics routines. I found the moves hard at first but can get through all three dances fine now, I think it's good that they're quite difficult as it keeps you interested. If it was patronisingly easy I'd never use it. You get a good sense of achievement when you manage to get through a whole routine with no mistakes!Gareth is as camp as Christmas but I love it - especially his comments about looking good in your bikini, that always makes me crank it up a notch. He's really motivating and keeps the momentum going throughout. And the girls have such great figures, it makes me try even harder because I want to look like them!! The fact that you're concentrating so hard on picking up the moves distracts you from the fact that you're exercising.This is good for your core as well because there's a big balance element to it so you find yourself making more effort than you normally would because you want to do the moves as well as the girls do it. My boyfriend joined in once but got completely lost - if your co-ordination's a bit dodgy you may want to give this one a wide berth! But overall I'd wholeheartedly recommend it as fun as well as effective.

At first I thought that this was a waste of money. The instructor annoyed me initially but then I grew to love him. The dance mix section is lots of fun. It's going to take me a while to get used to the routine but I'm sure it will get my heart rate going once I've learnt it. Get ready to strut your stuff, shimmy and flick your hair. Fun fun fun!!

This is the fourth Pump It Up DVD I've tried, and I've also tried the first Clubland DVD. I really enjoyed it - the dance moves were a little difficult, but Gareth Walker, the choreographer and leader, emphasises that you can march (strut!) it out if you can't get the hang of the moves. It gives an energetic workout, and first time through I managed about half of the dance moves in dancemix 1. Another few times of trying it and I should think I'll get the hang of it.I gather from reading the other reviews that Gareth Walker is a bit marmite - you'll love him or hate him. I really like his style, motivation and choreography. I'm only giving this four stars because the dance moves are more difficult than many of the other exercise DVDs I've tried - slightly more so than the first few Pump It Up DVDs, but less difficult than the first Clubland DVD, which I still haven't got the hang of three years later:-)

I bought this workout DVD 4 years ago. At the time I found it a bit difficult to follow the dance move. Now that I've done a little bit more dancing and am feeling more confident, I absolutely enjoy this DVD. There are a lot of sexy hip movements in there so you really need to get loose and get moving :) Unlike other DVDs, the warm-up section in the beginner already start to get my heart rate moving, so it's great! I find that I burn alot more calories following this DVD than other Pump it up DVDs.The music is also great in this Dancemix workout, which is really what keeps me going! I own quite a few 'Pump It Up' workout DVDs and this is definitely my favourite now! I really hope there will be more workout DVD like this by Gareth Walker. He is so charismatic (and the girls are great too). It's really fun to do the workout with Gareth at home. LOVE IT!

I decided to give this DVD another go as I didnt enjoy it the first time I played it but thought would give it another chance and it really is AWFUL!The routines are so quick and the main presenter is really annoying using very camp moves!This is really only for the young, fit and very good at dancing, it is useless for those wanting to get fit!I may use it again once I am really fit just as a challenge for myself but it is really not for the beginner at all.

Helpped my wife kill her boredom

I bought this DVD 3 weeks ago and cannot stop using it!! I have 3 other MOS DVD's which I also think is fantastic but this one beats them all!! I think the dance instructer Gareth Walker is fantastic and does a good job by actully teaching you the steps instead of running off with it!!This DVD is for people who love to dance, love dance music and have good co ordination. It is a bit fast in places so you really have to concentrate on the moves Gareth teaches you.All in all, a fantasic buy, I would love to buy more of Gareth's dance work outs as I think he is a great teacher!! 10/10 from me!!

Ich habe bereits mehrere DVDs der Pump it up-Reihe und jedes ist wirklich anders. Bei diesem ist der "Vortänzer" ein Mann und die Aufteilung ist anders. Zuerst wärmt man sich auf, wobei ich sagen muss, dass ich danach wirklich "gut warm" bin. Dies dauert ca. 8 Minuten. Danach folgt "Tone it Up", hier werden einfachere Schritte gezeigt und so langsam kann man sich in das Tanzen einfühlen. Dies beträgt ca. 12 Minuten. Darauf folgen 3 Dancemixes (jeweils ca. 15 Minuten), wo mehrere Choreographien getanzt werden. Die Schritte sind nicht wirklich beim ersten Mal korrekt nachzutanzen. Ich schätze, nachdem man es ungefähr 3 Mal gemacht hat, läuft alles viel leichter. Zuletzt folgt das Cool Down. Hier werden auch die Bauchmuskeln trainiert, allerding könnte das meines Erachtens nach, etwas länger und intensiver ausfallen.Alles in allem ein tolles Video: Nicht nur, dass es ein 1A-Workout gegen den Speck ist, sondern man lernt zu Tanzen und kann einige Schritte in der Disco nachtanzen. Die Musik ist mitreißend, der Tänzer ist sympathisch und ermutigt einen ständig. Was mir besonders gut gefällt: Man kann die einzelnen Sections so wählen, dass man unterschiedlich lange Workouts hat.Ich würde es mir SOFORT wieder kaufen!

Bei dieser DVD aus der Pump it up-Reihe ist der Tanzteil besonders lang und ausgeprägt. Das ist eine schöne Abwechslung zu den anderen DVDs aus der Reihe, bei denen es zum Teil mehr um die Muskelkraft oder die Ausdauer geht.Die drei Choreos wirken leicht und spielerisch, aber beim ersten Mitmachen kommt man definitiv nicht mit. Der Kerl hat's einfach drauf, es ganz natürlich rüberkommen zu lassen, so als ob er ausgelassen feiert und sich das alles spontan ausdenkt. Und das ist das total Großartige an dieser DVD: Keine gestelzten Tanzschritte, sondern MTV-artige Bewegungen, die man sofort auf der nächsten Party vorführen möchte. Dranbleiben lohnt sich also auf jeden Fall!Ganz toll an all diesen DVDs ist übrigens, dass die Workouts jeweils 75min lang sind. Da weiß man am Ende wirklich, was man geschafft hat!

Great workout! I think it is a fun as Cize, but with another music genre, the instructor is a hoot too! I love that you can choose which section to do. You need a Multi-Region DVD player as it is region 2.

Also ich hab diese DVD schon eine zeitlang. Aber ich muss sagen es ist echt wirklich wirklich anstrengend. Ich tanze dennoch sehr gern und ich denke mir wenn man diese DVD öfter macht wird es mit der Zeit. Ich bin schon beim Warm UP ins Schwitzen gekommen. Ich habe definitiv etwas gefunden was mir Spass beim Abnehmen machen würde nämlich TANZEN. Ich finde der Typ ist total abgedreht dennoch sympatisch. Die Mädels sind echt heiß muss man so sagen:)

Die ganze Pump it up-Reihe ist super. Dieses Video ist mir persönlich zu schwer umzusetzen. Habe es allerdings auch erst einmal gemacht. Die Tanzschritte sind für einen unerfahren Tänzer zu schnell, zu komplex. Werde es nochmal probieren, würde es aber keinem Anfänger empfehlen.

j'aime pas dire ça mais c vrai: il est nul. les mouvements sont sympas, très rythmés mais la méthode est vraiment mauvaise. le prof explique les mouvements suivants pendant que l'on doit faire les mouvements faits par les danseuses. on se perd complètement. je connais pratiquement toute la collection de pump it up (avec une nette préférence pour "high energy" & "beach") et j'espérais beaucoup de celui-là.

Nur vier Punkte vergebe ich deshalb, weil die Tanzchoreographien recht anspruchsvoll sind und man es erst ein paar Mal machen muss, um mitzukommen. Ich würde die DVD denjenigen empfehlen, die bereits mit den vorhergehenden Pump it up Videos trainiert haben, da ich es als die nächste Herausforderung betrachte. Man muss ja auch nicht alle drei Choreos auf einmal lernen, sondern kann immer nur eine üben. Für mich persönlich gibt es keine besseren Aerobic-DVDs als Pump it up - ich kann alle fünf Teile nur empfehlen.

Ich hab nach dieser CD noch nicht mit geübt! Aber beim ersten Ansehen, hat es schon sehr viel Spaß vermittelt. SIeht alles ganz schön anstrengend aus und man muss mit Sicherheit üben, um die ganzen Schrittfolgen überhaupt zu können. Kann ich trotzdem nur weiter empfehlen. Deshalb 5 Sterne.Die Mädels sind gewöhnungsbedürftig. Bis auf eine, die einem wirklich Fun vermittelt.
