I bought a Persian kitten a year ago from whom I thought was a registered breeder, when I got to her house and saw the kitten she was really matted and kept hiding in corners, the other kittens were fine. I could not leave her with this woman and paid the 650 pounds that she asked for but I knew I was going to have a lot of problems with her, which I did. With love and kindness a year on she is a lovely cat but still does not like to be combed - I have just found this comb and it really is a God send....thank you Hertzko for your Undercoat Rake, it has really helped with the grooming process, my little girls fur is really woolly so it matts very easily. It gets out a lot of fur and the matts without hurting her and she seems to like the comb too ! I highly recommend this comb best buy ever I give it a 10 out of 10 I only wish I had found this comb earlier.

It's not the one that will amazingly remove a huge amount of dead fur. But it's awesome at breaking mats and knots. Need to be careful of course: blades always turned away from the cat and to be gentle when pulling a mat.

Works very well at getting a thick under coat stripped out. Would not suit a short haired dog.

I couldn't be more impressed with this company. Whilst the rakes were not robust enough for our dogs which are very large, need grooming every day and have very long, thick double coats. These rakes just couldn't cope but by the time we'd found this out, they were out of their packaging. A1 PRODEALS couldn't have been more sympathetic and helpful. We got a full refund despite having used the product. I would definitely recommend this company for their professionalism. The rakes are probably best suited to a smaller dog with a less dense coat. We purchased this rake has we have two Rough Collies one of these is just 10 Months old and is always getting knots behind her ears and at the back of her front legs.So we needed something to help get the these out, we did give a groomer a try for a while but on her last visit our 12 year old could not walk very well and was in pain my husband said he thought it was the way she had been pulled about on the table and with her back legs being week this was the cause ,sure enough after two days rest and a couple more pain killers she was a different dog. That has made us so no to groomers and we just do them ourselves . I have had a gentle go with the rake and I think it will do fine ,We chose the long teeth one as a another review stated this one was better for long thick coats.

EDIT: I have been using this for awhile now on my chow, he had deep mats I had no idea he even had till I started using this. I really has done wonders to help his coat, areas I thought I had gotten all the undercoat out with rake/slicker, I use this and come up with alot more. I can tell he feels alot better too. And I'm not having to ruin his coat constantly cutting out mats. There are still areas I have to cut them out by hand but this has helped quite a bit. Won't be without one of these long as I have a double coated dog. I have owned double coated breeds all my life, GSDs, Malamutes, Akitas..Chows etc. Generally I do ok with a slicker & rake as I brush daily, and try to get down to the skin and back-comb. However with my current boy a Chow with a extra heavy coat thats very fine, he was matting constantly, despite being brushed daily or ever other day at longest. Even with back combing, I couldn't always get down to the skin even with the rake. Before I bought this dematter, I found several large mats inside his mane so I knew I had to get ontop of that. I used this the day it showed up. I have used other dematters in the past so I knew its not as simple as just putting it in the coat, giving it a tug and everything just glides out. If you do that with my chows coat, it will just yank...and he will not like you LOL. I found the best method was to use a quick flick of the wrist to use a slight "sawing" motion as you move out from coat, this made the tool go through the tougher mats easier. I am still trying to get some deeper mats out, and no tool other then scissors is going to get large very tangled mats but this has been doing a good job at getting the coat more manageable.

Excellent brush that really gets the undercoat. We have a Great Pyrenees mix and this brush gets right to his skin without hurting, and pulls that undercoat completely out.

It works amazing!! Great for matting on dogs that need deshedding, intolerable dogs, it works like butter just slides and cuts speed, making the coat perfect and soft again. Any dog with matting it breaks the matts easily i recommend this product to everybody

Muy resistente y excelente calidad

This worked really well for dematting my labradoodle. The reason for 4 stars - the first time I used it I sliced my thumb open while removing hair from the comb. Whereas the tips are rounded and gentle on your dog, unbeknownst to me the underside of the blades are very sharp. Lesson learned - I will be more careful going forward.
