Good value and once dried they add a really good pop of flavour. Been using them in bacon baguettes, very nice. Will buy more.

Decent Shiitake Mushrooms. Good flavour. A little small perhaps, but quality is good. Useful air-tight tub! I simply soak for 10 mins in very hot water and then add to the dish. Some people seem to be put off by the tough texture - this is pretty much how they are meant to be! I think they should have a little bit to them. Not the cheapest but a decent product. Recommended.

Not for me… didn’t enjoy the texture and taste even after the recommended steeping time and cooking instructions. Perhaps enjoyed by others but won’t be buying again.

I soaked some of these and when I started chopping them up noticed one of them was rock hard! On further investigation it appears to be some kind of black nut the size of a small conker!! Inside is light coloured like a walnut. Smells strong of nut! Not only has this been weighed with shitake mushrooms so I have less than the weight of mushrooms paid for I also have a nut allergy and can not risk using any of this jar!! It is so dangerous. I had started making a soup and the whole thing had to go in the bin. I contacted the seller for refund and they want me to post it back??? Opened and some used? Why should I have to put myself out to get my money back after such dangerous and clearly hazardous packing methods by the supplier?

Smell like sweaty socks. Need to soak them before use, and use the juicey mushroom water for risotto. Although we tried them, not our taste. Expensive one off purchase. Live and learn.

Man sollte sich nicht täuschen laassen von der Mengenangabe "113,4 g", denn die Pilze sind knochentrocken. Geliefer bekommt man eine hoch gefüllte klare Kunststoffdose von ca. 550 ccm Volumen mit Deckel! Der Pilz-Inhalt sieht sauber und hygienisch sehr Vertrauen erweckend aus und hat ein ganz leicht wald-würziges Aroma.

Tasty enough but even after soakihg for a hour, the rooms were pretty hard to chew

I keep a variety of dried mushrooms in my pantry for times when I can’t find the type I want in the grocery store. These dried Shitakes are very good and unfortunately not always available in the grocery store.
