My wife takes a daily probiotic and says that since taking them she has never had any problems with gut health. I got her these to try. They look to be a good quality blend of probiotic and prebiotic, containing 10 billion CFU in 6 different strains of lactobacillus and bifidobacterium. The bulking agent is brown rice flour and the capsules are gluten free and also dairy free. However the dosage instructions are rather vague, stating that you should take 1 or 2 capsules once or twice a day. So, you could take anything from 1 to 4 capsules a day. There are 60 in the container which means at one a day they will last for 2 months, but at 4 a day only a couple of weeks, so I'm not sure if they are good value or not. The flat pack container is easy to store.

Some may not know, but these days there are manufacturers of supplements that you can ask to make their products with your own branding and supply you to sell under your own steam. This is one of those, manufactured by UK company nutribl, this supplement is a 'virtual brand' marketed by a 1 woman show trading as Vitality 40 Ltd. These type of arrangements can cause provenance concerns sometimes. But this product is being manufactured by a named UK supplier and marketed by a UK micro company so I don't have any issues in this case. The delayed release capsule contains a selected panel of probiotics and common prebiotics such as Chicory. All good there and its easily ingested without upset tums. Actually the reason I use probiotics daily is for me, clear advantages. The suggested doses seems quite a lot, 1 to 4 per day in up to 2 servings. There are only 60 in the pack, 4 would be very expensive. Although they are only 10 billion CFU per capsule, 1 per day is still adequate for me. The current price is £15 which is not particularly cheap, but the provenance is far better than many far East sourced imports and at one a day its acceptable, but no bargain at 25p a day.
