Q: Has anyone used this for a while and pulled it up? I bought a cheap one like this and pulled it up and it all stuck to my floor!

Try a wet towel and a hot iron, lift the towel often and scrap with a putty knife. OR try 100% Acetone( nail polish remover),I would spot test before using acetone because it can remove wood stain or paint, so I would be very careful with acetone. Another trick to remove sticky adhesive(s) is petroleum jelly or cooking oil, they both break down adhesive. You may have to let it set awhile and the scrap with a putty knife or a plastic dish scrubber. Hope this helps someone. I refinish furniture and have used all the above methods. Which one depends on whether I'm staining or painting.

Q: I have heard that rubber pads are not good for hardwood floors. is this pad made of rubber? there is nothing mentioned of materials in the pad.

I noticed also that there was no mention of the material it is made from. I just closed on my new built home last week and one of the instruments was to NOT use rug pads nor rugs made from rubber/rubber backing on my hardwood floors because it could discolor and void the warranty. Looking for another material.

Crazy that it holds for big dogs but let 2 kittens at it and NO! The rug doesn’t stay in place. It’s also no match for a toddler. I wouldn’t waste your money on it.

Q: Can this be cut to size?

I put this over the back of my 6' round rug and cut it maybe 1" small all around. Then taped it in 4 places, turned them both over and placed it where I needed it.
