One year later, we got it for her as a Christmas present and she was SO excited! She still loves it and loved learning the words again. Great book!

My granddaughter, age 2, loves this book! She engaged with the ideas of fun, friendships, and what it means to belong (in my opinion, as she is only 2). Our Kids Love It!
Our daughter loved this book when we rented it from a library (18 month old at the time). She loved it so much that she memorized the words (not hard to do with this book) and would read it to herself all the time. One year later, we got it for her as a Christmas present and she was SO excited! She still loves it and loved learning the words again. Great book!

Darling!
The illustrations are so beautiful! Great little read for a toddler, I bought it for my 21 month olds easter basket. Also a great book to get a conversation going with students about how pictures can tell a story.

Nice alternative for Easter
I love Kevin Henkel books and have been a fan for years. This one is perfect for a lap story so the child can really get into the illustrations.

This is a beautiful book full of fun and surprises. The pastel drawings are sweet and the story is delightful. This book was a wonderful new find for our grandchildren and is a new favorite as a new baby gift.

My 6 year old loved reading this to me tonight
Kevin Henkes did it again! My 6 year old loved reading this to me tonight. He loved the surprise!! He is my youngest and I don't know what I am going to do when he grows out of Henkes picture books. I, of course, will still buy them. Some of my fondest memories of my kids with books involve Kevin Henkes picture books!

Wonderful book
This is one of the very best children's books I've read to my grandsons. I love the story, the illustrations, and the heart. And the boys cannot get enough of it. Buy it for a child you love.

Henkes Delights Again
Once again, Henkes delivers. The class of four years old,with whom I shared this, were delighted! The drawings, the sweet spring colors, and the word repetition drew in my audience and invited participation.
