Batman: Arkham Asylum - Game of the Year Edition (PC)

Batman: Arkham Asylum (AA from now on) is a great game that has blended elements of horror, thriller and noir crime. Gameplay borrows heavily from the Assassins Creed model; so if you've played that series AA shouldn't be all that difficult. There's a wonderful cinematic type storyline with excellent music to back it up. You will find that AA has paid tribute to all the top games of the past years including Max Payne in terms of stylistic grittiness and Hitman in terms of stealth. Gameplay is absolutely engaging and worth the money you're paying. It's a nice long winded game with intrigue and equal bits of scary thrown in. You won't just be running around punching people in the face. There are puzzles to solve, super villains to thrash and some self doubt to banish (a la Max Payne) as well. If you've been worried about the demise of Games For Windows Live (GFWL) then there's no need to be; Amazon ships the Steamworks version! So gamers can be happy, you don't need the installation CD or the CD key once you register your game on the Steamworks client (which is a preferred industry standard now). Along with a single player story mode there are other player modes as well and it will take you a good couple of weeks to thoroughly complete the game. Graphics and gameplay are still top notch in 2014 and you will be a thoroughly satisfied gamer. A recommended buy for fans of the Caped Crusader as well as gamers who like to explore the dark side of Gotham.

Totally waste of money and time. The Cd doesn't work and Even after downloading the game from steam by the given code , it doesn't work. The product was used and manual was not there. 🤬😡

i have just completed the game...it is one of the best batman game and love his fighting skills i'm reducing 1 star because you need to download additional 300MB for steam (you need atleast wifi or 3G connection to download in less minutes) if you are looking for batman game this is the best ever batman game....hats off to rocksteady studios now i will buy next part that is Batman:arkham city

This is one of the best comic book video games of all time. DO NOT compare it to Arkham City and also, do not play this game after playing Arkam city. Both Games are revolutionary. The game has it all. The action, the story, and especially the voice-over acting is just incredible. The combat is one of the best I have experienced. The side missions keep you busy and add depth and content to the story with efficiency. Plus the DLCs added with this GOTY edition is satisfying. Very deserved Five stars

Never buy this game it shows an error in the computer but I am satisfied with Amazon service Amazon is initiating a refund but I suggest you not to buy this game I request Amazon to forward this to the seller

I bought it for my physical collection and was a bit surprised to see that I got the plastic case edition which lacks the leaflets. Not a deal breaker but it would have been better if they had sent the classic carboard box edition. Maybe they don't sell it anymore because of the GFWL thing? Plastic wrap said that it was an Oct 2018 import. If you're buying this for the first time to play then just redeem the code on Steam and the game will get added to your library. Don't use the disc, the files are too old.
