TMS T-NS-MRC001 500-Pound Heavy Duty Motorcycle Dirt Bike Scooter Carrier Hitch Rack Hauler Trailer with Loading Ramp and Anti-Tilt Locking Device

Just finished a 1500 mile trip on the East Coast. Traveled everything from dirt/gravel roads in the mountains to I-95 during our trip. I was very impressed with the sturdiness of this carrier. With 4 tie-downs attached to the bike, there was very little movement. The anti-rattle hitch device worked very well and kept everything stabilized and secure. I have a 200cc bike with a curb weight of about 275 lbs. I used magnetic tail lights that I placed in the ramp as the bike did cover much of my tail lights - this definitely made highway travel much safer. My only two slight negatives would be 1.) it would be nice if the anti-rattle hitch piece were welded into the tube, and 2.) a slightly longer ramp. I have a Tacoma with a 3 inch lift and 32 inch tires, and the angle of the ramp is a bit steep. A full size pick up with any lift or oversize tires will probably be even steeper. However, during most loading and unloading situations, I was able to find a small hill that helped decrease the angle of the ramp making loading and unloading pretty easy. But honestly, for the security and stability this carrier provided me, those were very minor issues. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to haul a bike that is in the 300 lb range or lighter.

The attachment points are at the center, they don't properly compress the front shock as-is. All-in-all, great carrier for the money. Not needing to deal with the hassle and expense of a trailer is huge for me. Yes it's low, but that also makes it easy to load. Wouldn't use it with a vehicle with less ground clearance from the hitch than the Rav, though.

This motor cycle carrier was offered at an economical price, but shipping was a bit high, even then it was still a great value. The assembly was very straight forward with only a few questions around the best bolt orientation. The hardware was of good quality and the metal parts all had good finish. One hole in the box frame was not drilled clean through and required a bit of touch-up. I also noticed that the box frame should have had internal bracing for two of the bolt holes, which were prone to crushing under bolt torque, so I added some spacers to compensate. Assembly can be done with simple hand tools like adjustable wrenches, but it is best if you have a metric tools covering 15, 16, 17 and 19 mm sizes. The carrier did come with a threaded hitch pin and a captive backing nut. It was awkward to work with, but it did help secure the hitch, and it helped to reduce wobble during transport. This carrier is not too wide, so having a motorcycle with tires that are much greater than 180mm wide may be problematic. This was not an issue for my scooter and 500 cc sport bikes, but it may be for other motorcycles. My van had a relatively low hitch height so loading a bike is easy. If you have a tall hitch, then you may want to build your own longer ramp, or extend the one provided. One last detail, please ensure that you have a Class III hitch which is rated for ~500 lbs tongue weight as the motor cycle will canter lever off the back of your truck by a bit. Note: some states require the use of trailer lights due to the possible obstruction of your vehicle lights.

After reading the previous reviews, I must admit I was scepticle to say the least. As most people already stated a MANUAL would have made things go a little quicker, but with using the Amazon ad as a guide it came together w/o a hitch, took about an hour and did it right on my kitchen floor ( w/o damaging carrier or tile floor, wife says TY :) )It dosent look or feel cheap, although I would reccomend using 2 people to load and un-load. Looks great easy to set up and easy to use, and for the price a great bargain for those on a budget. If like me getting a new dirtbike for Christmas, and don't have a ton of money for all the extras, then this is the PERFECT alternative.

La rampa viene golpeada. Fatal. Un riel viene chueco y doblado. Por lo que no puedo ensamblarlo al centro del equipo. El daño seguramente le restará resistencia y debilitará el equipo. Corriendo riesgos de que se rompa o safe en carretera. Iniciare la devolución. Espero no tener problemas con eso. Pésima revisión de la calidad en algo que debe de ser absolutamente seguro. No lo checan antes de empaquetar y enviar.
