Marketed as "strongest finish", scratches incredibly easily, not recommended

We are confused. It is marketed as the best available, strongest finish. It scratches incredibly easily and turns shiny after you actually live on it and the matte finish wears off as you "buff" it with your socks, feet, etc. Did we get a bad batch? What are you supposed to do once the floors are already done? It's incredibly disappointing.
