The gemstone pieces look nothing like the countries/continents they are trying to depict. Cheaply made as well. I should have figured this would not be comparable to a Kalifano gemstone globe but figured I would give it a shot. Sent it back the day after I received it. The item looks nothing like the pictures.

This was a gift for my husband and he loves it, but so do it. It is beautifully made and adorns the top of our piano. The gemstones are stunning and add a gorgeous touch to a timeless classic. This is something anyone can appreciate.

This globe has the potential to be awesome but it has some low quality craftsmenship in places and needs more attention to the minor details. But hey, it is not the expensive globe either, so you get what you pay for. I did give it as a gift to a co-worker who teaches Social Studies and it looks nice on her desk.

This is basically a cheaper version of the more expensive models you'll see out there. The countries are shaped kind of strange, but close enough. They're kind of 'blocky' and approximate. It's a rough representation of the continents. The metal pieces are put together a bit rough. The finish is ok. With all that said, for under $30 it's a nice piece. It makes a nice impression for a distance. Just don't expect it to look great close up.
